Tolya smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm afraid I wasn't much help. Cas wouldn't let me call the police or follow them myself. All I did was get him back to his dorm."
Tolya smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm afraid I wasn't much help. Cas wouldn't let me call the police or follow them myself. All I did was get him back to his dorm."
Lia shook her head "no need for the police. Wet'll handle them." The brightness in her eyes returned by it stayed dormant. She waved them.inside "come in, your dad's in the back of the house." She said,
Tolly laughed and followed her in, smiling at the cozy interior. He hung back once he was inside and linked his arm with Cas'. "Oh! I baked you some cookies, where should I put them?"
"hm, oh those can probably go in the kitchen." Cas pointed to where his mother disappeared to. "I'm gonna get our bags from the car and put them in my room. You can explore around a bit if you want."
Tolly nodded, pecking Cas on the cheek before he ventured into the kitchen. "Come get me when you're back inside, okay? I wanna know where your room is so I remember where I'm sleeping."
Cas nodded and headed out "I will, I'm going to go into the forest afterwards to start harvesting replacement plants for the shop. Wanna come?" he asked, opening the door to the front house.
"Tolly, may I speak to you?" Lia said, leaning against the doorframe
"Sure! See you later babe!" Tolly smiled fondly at Cas for a few minuted before he turned to Lia. "Totally! What's up?"
Lia led him to the kitchen while cas went to grab their bags in the car "I've done enough research on species such as yourself. Lycanthrope's usually protect what they hold close to their heart like a lived or family member. Am.i safe to assume you'll do that with my son?"
Tolly nodded with no hesitation. "Definitely. Cas is as close to my heart as anyone, Ma'am. I'd protect him with my life if it came down to that."
"I'm sure it won't. Thank you." She hugged him right before letting him go "cas should be in the back by now. Dinner will be done soon." She reassured
Tolly smiled at the information but stayed in the kitchen for a few seconds longer. "What made you want to ask? If it's not too much trouble to answer."
Lia shook her head "not at all. Cas has been through a lot, silently loving someone who doesn't feel the same then dealing with the repricautions afterwards by himself after he figures out their lack of interest. I just want to be sure the one he falls in love with would love him just as much." she said with a small smile "And of course that i approve of."
Tolly nodded in understanding. "I'll take good care of him, Mrs. Lia. Honestly, I don't think I could bear to hurt him."
"good, I can see how much he cares and genuinely loves you. And I can see that same love from you." She winked and turned back to making dinner "dinner will be ready soon."
Cas had changed into a comfortable shirt and pants to harvest the plants in the forest. He had visited his dad for a bit before grabbing his gathering basket and waiting at the edge of the forest, lying in the mint patch to wait for tolly
Tolly smiled brightly, thanking her before he jogged out into the garden to meet Cas. "Hi babe! What are we collecting?"
Cas sat up from the patch of mint a d shook some leaves from his hair. "anything and everything. We need to replenish what we can for the shop." He explained, ha ding tolly a gathering basket
Tolly took the basket with a smile, stepping forward to pick a mint leaf out of Cas' hair. "What's hardest for you to find? Because after you've found one I can probably get a scent and find a bunch."
He laughed softly and thought for moment "everything is relatively easy to find except for Cali root." Cas said, heading into the forest
Tolly followed him into the trees, stopping occasionally to gather herbs. "What's Cali root?" he asked curiously, picking rowan berries from the tree.
"hm? I'm it helps with pain and major injuries, kinda like healer." Cas explained, crouching down to pull leaves off a dark flower
Tolly nodded, moving over to a flowering vine and picking off the little white blossoms. "What's it look like?"
"kinda like a miniature parsnip." He said, "the flowers are small and blue." He stood and walked over to a tree with whitish sap dripping from it. He took a viral and held it up to the bark
"Oh! I think I found some!" Tolly gestured towards the bottom of the rowan tree where a cali roots had begun to flower.
Cas walked over to where tolly was "well let those grow for now, they're a bit too small for harvesting. I'm sure there's more patches the deeper we go into the forest."
"Okay! How long are we gonna be out here?" Tolly turned back to the vine, smiling as he took in the sweet scent. It was nice to be out in the wild after he'd lived in the city for so long.
Cas started walking into he direction oposite of the house "a few hours, all the essentials are mostly in the deeper part of the woods." He explained
Tolly followed after him, stopping every now and then to gather herbs. "Great! It's so pretty out here, I wish we could walk around forever."
Cas laughed and nodded in agreement "it's basically the only thing Indi Everytime I come here. Beside hang out with Mom and Dad of course."
"I like your mom, she seems really cool." Tolly smiled over at Cas, bumping their shoulders together affectionately. "Course you're my favorite person in the family."
"she is when she's relaxed. Right now she's high strung about the shop. She can be kinda protective." He laughed lightly and leaned his head on tolly's shoulder as they walked "you haven't met dad yet. You'll love him, it's kinda hard not to."
