Alex sighed softly, and hauled himself to his feet. Blood was leaking out from his side, and he clasped a hand over the wound. Gotta get to shelter… He thought sluggishly. The rain overhead was pounding down on him, getting in his eyes and and soaking through his clothing within seconds. He swallowed. Ten more feet… He kept hauling himself forward, one agonizing footstep at a time.

(i think it would make more sense if it was like a merperson of nobility who falls in love with the known evil person in the area
because then it would be bad and stuff like that
we don't need to bring culture into this)

Name: Caspian Kyrie
Age: 23
Gender: Male

Appearance: Caspian, often called "Cas", is tall, with dark, wavy hair. His hair goes to his jaw in length, and there are a few silver streaks in his hair from the toll his magic sometimes takes. His eyes are a bright, brilliant green, but when he uses certain aspects of his magic, especially blood magic, they sometimes turn red, or even black. When his eyes turn colors due to his magic, sometimes only the iris changes, but more often then not, his whole eye, including the whites, changes color. He has a few scars along his back, arms, chest, and sides, from various mishaps and "accidents" throughout his life. He has scars on his hands, too. He has a black tattoo of a bird on his upper left arm, along with a bite mark scar farther down. Permanent twitch in his left arm.
Tail appearance: Light silvery grey, the outer edge of each scale is slightly darker. He has a few scars towards the bottom, and a tattoo that winds up his tail, starting at the tip and ending in a curl around his waist.
Style: simple t shirt or longer sleeve shirt, typically dark colored to blend in with his surroundings. Often wears a belt like thing to keep different things for his spells in.
Personality: Caspian can be a little rash, making decisions that weren't, perhaps, the best choice. He is brave, usually. He enjoys speed swimming, and exploring, and often goes exploring in dark caverns. He is confident in his abilities, and has a good handle on what he can and can't do. As society fears people (merpeople?) like him, he lives on the outskirts, in the house his mentor used to live in, and he doesn't speak to people unless they engage him first. He is very gentle towards children, and enjoys playing with them, though if a parent sees their child with him, the child is often hurried away, and angry words are hurled at Caspian.
Likes: speed swimming, exploring, trying out new spells
Dislikes: being hurt by someone else (physically), people hating him for being a magician, sharks
Background: Caspian was born to single mother, and never knew his father. His mother died when he was five years old. Two years later, Aster, a magician and spellcaster, found him, and took him to train him to be a magician. Aster was a hard, cruel master, punishing Caspian for any little step out of line or mistake, which is where some of his scars came from. Caspian, however, persevered, and learned a lot from Aster. However, as Caspian grew older, and more powerful, Aster realized that his apprentice was far more powerful than he. He tried to kill Caspian, by leaving him in a shark infested area, alone, without anything to defend himself. The sharks were a type that Aster had magicked into being bigger, faster, stronger, and more bloodthirsty than the average shark. Caspian managed to escape, though not without scars. He made it back to his home, where he lived with Aster. Aster pretended that it had all been a mistake, and Caspian, not knowing any better, believed him. Aster then plotted a plan to completely break Caspian's spirit. About halfway through said plan, Caspian caught on, and, using magic, cast his mentor out, far far away from the kingdom. This type of magic took a toll on Caspian, leaving silver streaks in his hair and a permanent twitch to his left arm. That was three years ago, and he has been living alone, without much incident, ever since.
