Cas shrugged. "The 'normal' people don't like it. It scares them. I take it you're not from around here?"
Cas shrugged. "The 'normal' people don't like it. It scares them. I take it you're not from around here?"
"You could say that," he ran his fingers through his curly hair and sighed as he leaned against the tree. "Anyways, why are you here?"
"Hmm? Oh! Some lady asked where my parents were because she thought I was a kid, so I lied and said my brother brought me." Cas started explaining. "And I sorta saw you and said you were my brother, and once she left I figured I might as well come say hi."
"Oh?" he looked at him as he cocked an eyebrow. "Lying's a sin, you know."
"I know, but if I say I live in the streets because both my parents are either dead or gone, I'll be put in foster care and my secret would most definitely be found out." Cas said simply.
Sorin tensed and clenched his jaw. "I…" he sighed and tried his hardest not to say anything to hurt him but all he could say was, "I'm sorry."
Cas shrugged. "It's not your fault. That was three years ago… I'm pretty much over it by now." Cas yawned. His canine teeth were ironically more feline, being a bit thinner and quite sharp.
"If you'd like I could offer you a place to stay," as quick as the words came out from his lips, he regretted them instantly.
Cas looked up, a bit surprised. "…Why would you want to help someone like me? I'm a freak."
He gaped at him. "You're kidding me right?"
"Well, that's what society says. Magical people are out of the ordinary, and they don't like it…" Cas looked down.
"So what if they don't?" he gently lifted his head up. "Listen to me, you are good just the way you are. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
Cas blushed a bit, but nodded. "I-I… alright… I can't help but wonder why you want to help me, though. You could get in trouble."
Sorin shrugged. "I can't be friendly?"
"Well, you offered to let me live with you…" He made eye contact with Sorin, the gold flecks in his eyes catching the sun.
"And?" he soaked up his admirable features. "You're pretty, by the way."
Cas blushed harder and looked down again. "Th-Thanks… you're not so bad yourself…" He couldn't help but grin a bit.
Sorin chuckled then stood up. "C'mon. My flat is not that far from here so we could walk…or fly if you'd like."
"What do you mean, fly?" Cas stood as well, showing just how short he was compared to Sorin.
Sorin tried to not to smile as he stood up, now seeing just how small he was. "I'm an angel." Fallen angel.
"Really? That's so cool!" Cas grinned, looking up at Sorin. "I'm Casper, by the way, but you can call me Cas!"
"Sorin," he smiled and extended his hand.
Cas shook his hand. "Nice to meet you! How would we both fly, though? I don't have wings."
"I do," Sorin went in to pick him up but then stopped. "…Do you mind if I…carry you?"
Cas blushed again. "Er… if… if you want?" He was very light when carried, which definitely suggested he didn't eat enough.
Sorin arched his back as his wings ripped from it. He stretched them, not minding if the boy looked at his deformed wing or not. It has been some time since he last flew in the sky due to him worrying about it's effects on the wing's healing. However, now he didn't mind. He bent down and scooped up Cas and brought him closer to his chest. "Wrap your arms around my neck so you don't fall."
Cas nodded and clung to Sorin. He closed his eyes as he prepared to leave the ground, and his stomach jolted when Sorin took off. He tightened his grip a bit, keeping his eyes closed for now.
Sorin held onto him tightly, narrowing his eyes as the wind blew in their faces. When he finally landed in front of his home, he gently set Cas down .
Cas finally opened his eyes, his normally disheveled hair even fluffier than usual. "Did we make it?" He asked quietly.
Sorin chuckled. "Yes." He inhaled deeply and bent over slightly as his wings drew back in.
