(ah I hadn't clocked that she's a lesbian in a relationship with a man)
"That's fair enough," Lea admitted. "That's why I'm off travelling, to get away from everything."
(ah I hadn't clocked that she's a lesbian in a relationship with a man)
"That's fair enough," Lea admitted. "That's why I'm off travelling, to get away from everything."
(um no it's her partner. basically sets up all of her assassinations and stuff like that)
"Yeah well I can't take travel holidays. Work is too important. Just when I think I have a break, someone else tells me that they have a job for me. I never get a rest."
(ah, I'm sorry my bad)
"What do you do?" Lea asked lightly, scanning the pastry racks.
(no its ok i prably didn't make it very clear)
"Can't tell ya that, sorry," Jessie answered. Her name was called by the barista. "Well, that's my cue to leave."
Taken by surprise, Lea could do nothing but nod. "Um, sure yeah, okay… Have a good day!"
Jessie saluted and then walked out of the door, sipping her coffee. She suddenly realised that the woman probably thought she was talking about a boyfriend, even though she was single. And she now knew her name.
Shaking off the strange encounter, Lea grabbed her order and headed out the café's door for the packed streets.
Sipping her chai latte, she ambled on towards her AirBnB.
A smile began to play on Jessie's lips as she sipped her coffee. She had such a hectic schedule that coffee kept her awake. It was her escape. And she was able to have less sleep.
As she walked, Lea tried to sort through her thoughts. Wouldn't tell me her job. She's probably a government agent! Lea theorized, laughing to herself. Or maybe she's just a private person. Either one, way to get her stuck in my head.
I wonder what was up with that woman, Jessie thought to herself, sipping her coffee. She probably thinks I'm some FBI agent or something. Little does she know I'm hiding from the FBI.
(I'd apologize but I warned the forums I was going to be slow on rps)
She had pulled out her phone by the time she got to her street corner, and was excitedly typing out a message about her first interaction in the magical United States.
As she wrote, she started seriously thinking about what was up with… Jessie, yeah, that was her name.
(i mean i dont really care, just get it done when i can)
Jessie's phone rang, and she answered angrily as she saw who it was. "I told you not to call me back," She hissed, stopping where she was. "I don't care if today is the only day we can do it, I'm busy."
(how're we getting them back together?)
(idk
maybe lea bumps into jessie again)
She started rifling through her bag for her keys seeing as she was nearing the place. She searched and searched, pushing other things aside, but the keys were nowhere to be seen.
"Merde."
"I told you to leave me the fuck alone! Why are you still contacting me?!" Jessie hissed in Russian, one of the easiest of the languages she'd learned.
Still searching, she turned around and started retracing her steps, stressfully chewing on her bottom lip.
"I told you I'm busy!" She hissed again, annoyed. "Then fucking deal with it! Pierre can wait another day!"
She was walking briskly, head down, until she heard a familiar voice.
It couldn't be, though, since the voice was speaking in a foreign language. She turned a corner to find a woman angrily telling someone off, and a mild flash of recognition forced her to stop walking.
"Oh you too Mei?!" Jessie sighed angrily in Mandarin, as her partner Mei was put onto the phone. "I'm not interested!" … "Ugh, fine. But only because of you."
Lea hung around, watching the woman on the phone, talking to the other end with the same anger as before. She didn't dare step any closer, but hovered where she was.
Jessie hung up the phone, sighing with an annoyed tone. She chugged the rest of her coffee, which was now cold enough to do so, and chucked it into a bin with force.
Lea's eyes widened in mild fear, but she still didn't move. She backed up slightly, just around the corner, to make it look as though she'd just arrived. Nothing worse than a creepy stalker.
So once more, the rounded the corner, stepping harder than usual so she'd be heard if not seen.
(ok so i just realised that 'sighing' somehow got autocorrected to 'digging'….?)
Jessie closed her eyes while sighing, leaning against the wall. She was annoyed, but it was something she had to do. Roman Pierre was a bad guy, and she was the only one who could dispose of him.
(I swear to god autocorrect will be the death of me)
This time around, Jesse's eyes were closed. Silently frustrated, Lea cleared her throat and walked closer to her, setting a warm smile on her face.
Jessie started to run over their plan in her head. It was detailed, and she had to time everything perfectly.
Closer.
They were only a few feet away now, but Jesse was so lost in thought that she still hadn't looked up and noticed Lea. So the latter walked, opting for a casual 'Oh it's you!' for the moment they collided.
Jessie got another phone call, but this time she wasn't angry at the caller. She answered the call, her hair falling in front of her face as she looked at her feet. She listened quietly and calmly to whoever was talking to her, rarely saying anything save for a few sentences in what sounded like Greek or French. Then the call ended.
The language sounded familiar to Lea, so she guessed it was French.
She watched Jesse talking, calmly this time, looking peaceful and quiet. It was a very different look on her, one that touched slightly at Lea's wide open heart.
She waited the call out, silent and still.
Jessie started to walk off, not seeing Lea due to her hair blocking the way. She had calmed down after that call, but walking also helped. It cleared her head, and it took her mind off her job for that night.
