Looking back up at him with a sudden mischievous look, leaning towards him,
"I thought you don't sleep?"
"I don't." He replied, a small smile flickering over his face. He seemed more…human, almost. Like sleeping had changed something about him.
"You were sleeping though"
She says returning a cute smile.
He sighed. "I know." He replied. He returned her smile.
"Well- n-now you're being confusing!"
She said scrunching her eyebrows together while stuttering.
He raised his eyebrows. "What do you mean?" He asked, looking at her in confusion.
"Last night… You said you can't sleep! But you just slept… Just now!" .she said confused.
"Oh. No, I can sleep, I just don't have to." He explained. "I choose not to, usually, since my body still functions normally without sleep."
"Jealous…." .she says looking up at the sky. Her eyes had a tiny bit I'm of shine in them, looking as if it held entire glaxies.
He gave a small smile, watching her. She's beautiful… He shook his head slightly. No. He had to stay focused. He was with her because of a bargain made, and when the bargain ended, he would leave. That was how it would be.
Standing up she sits back down in the grass. Looking up at Troy… Just smiling, then closing her eyes once again. Her hair spread out in the grass, the grass was cold and a little wet, but it was fine.
He exhaled softly, looking away for a moment. "You know, if you're going to sleep, wouldn't it be better to sleep inside, at your own house?" He suggested.
"I like it more out here…. You can go in if you want…"
She says calmly. She wasn't going to sleep… She was just resting.
Troy sighed softly. "I have no preference." He replied. A spirit appeared.
"D-daddy? Where's my daddy?!" The little boy wailed, clutching at a teddy bear.
Troy sat up. "Hey, little guy." He said softly. "Your name's Lucas, right?"
The little boy nodded.
Troy gently took the little boy's hand. "Well, Lucas, your daddy can't be with you right now. But you're going somewhere beautiful. He'll meet you there in a few years, okay?"
Lucas nodded, hugging the teddy bear.
"Okay. Be at peace, little one." Troy murmured, putting his hand on the little boy's forehead.
Lucas vanished.
Looking back she smiled at Troy, sitting up and looking into his eyes.
"You're really sweet… You know that?"
Troy looked over, and raised his eyebrows. "What do you mean?" He asked slowly.
"I'm not strong it again"
She crossed her arms puffing out the side if her cheek.
"Okay then." He said with a slight shrug. "Suit yourself."
(I mean to say "I'm not saying it again)
(ohh okay XD lemme edit my reply rq then)
"What no… Did you actually not hear me?"
She said, confused. She said that, think he was saying that he wanted her to say that he was sweet again.
"No, i heard you, I'm just…not sure how I'm sweet." He replied, looking over at her. "I'm the Grim Reaper. Literally death incarnated. Most people call me cruel."
"Nope… I thought that too, and with that, I fell in love with the thought of you. But… Now that i see how sweet you are… I don't know…"
She rests her chin on her hand, looking up at him,
"You're so sweet and nice to the children, you're peaceful, and you saved me, for apparently, you don't even know why. But that's beside the point, you're actually super sweet."
He opened his mouth, then closed it again, staring at her. "I…am highly confused on many of the things you just said." He said slowly. "But…thank you?"
"You're welcome."
She said readjusting herself and paying back down.
"Sorry… I'm tired so i might say weird things, but they're true."
She said referring to her calling him nice.
He gave a soft chuckle. "Mm. It's fine." He replied. "And if you're tired, you should sleep."
"nope"
She said grabbing his dagger and drawing flowers in a patch of dirt.
He raised an eyebrow. "Okay." He replied simply, leaning against the tree again.
"come here… sit by me, I want the company"
She said rather harshly, sounding like an order. But you could hear the niceness it her tone.
