I have a question
How do you smoothly write a scene that strongly hints at two characters about to have sex, but never gets into detail and the scene ends before it happens? Like how do I do that and not make it awkwardly written? Especially the end of the scene
Like a 'fade to black'?
That's pretty easy actually. You can have the scene leading up to it be hot and heavy with making out and other intimate things. Get that implication down really good and then just have the characters move into a bedroom or give consent to move forward with sexytime and then gently end the scene.
I think it is really important to end the scene specifically on both a high note of happiness between the characters and also gently because at the end of the day it is an entirely intimate moment. It is important to maintain a gentle and loving relationship not only between the characters but between the characters and the reader. You want to make sure that the reader is (somewhat) satisfied by the goings on, even if it is a fade to black.
For example (And forgive my character choices):
Harry shifted and Ginny made a sound of protest as he stood up. Where did he think he was going in the middle of all this? Didn't he see how much she wanted him? Just as she was about to voice her displeasure, Harry extended his hand towards her with a soft smile. "Come on." He whispered, eyes still glimmering with intensity. Ginny took his hand, only to blush a little when she realized where he was leading them. Her bedroom. A soft 'oh' escaped her lips as she stepped inside. Harry shut the door quietly, before reaching for her once more. It was only a moment before they had collapsed onto her bed, picking up where they had left off.
-End Scene-
Alright, that makes sense. Thank you.
I honestly thought someone came in with an awkward question and I had to mentally prepare myself, JYN.
CHRIST
I have a question I'm just awkward asking things
It's cool. Take your time. :)
So if two guys were doing it, how would that work if there was a substantial height difference?
Victor and Henry?
Well– I mean it's not like it wouldn't work, just may be a little awkward to find a position that both are comfortable with and works for them. Unless the smaller is the more–ahem–assertive one of the relationship, then it would get a little Kama Sutra-y if you catch my drift.
Yes
Yeah, the shorter one is the more assertive one.
Of course. lol
Tiny but Mighty
Ah well, like I said before–It certainly still works, just the positions are a little more creative.
Are you looking for me to give you some positions? XD
Hmmm haven't posted one of these in a while

Also I'd just like to recommend Jenna Moreci's 'How To Write A Sex Scene' video because it's very informative and fucking hilarious.
How does one safely handle the subject of r*pe without offending anyone? I won't include explicit descriptions, but I want to show how the character deals with the trauma and how PTSD from that might affect them?
R E S E A R C H
But remember that everyone's experience is different, they way they handle trauma is different, so they way you write it won't necessarily be right or wrong. Your character has to maintain their personality through it all, so really focus on how they would react and don't worry about how the rest of the world is going to perceive it.
i'd say ask someone who you know who might've gone through assault and other stuff like that
helps if they're a writer
I wouldn't do that. ^^
People don't necessarily want to talk about their trauma, especially if you are just going to use it for research instead of helping them heal. That can be seen as cold and callous
Seconded. Honestly, I wouldn’t bring up rape at all. Maybe insinuate it, but definitely not to the point where you’re describing their trauma because so many women go through experiences like that. Even if they haven’t, it’s still scary for many, many women.
I wouldn't do that. ^^

no, of course, it would be done with respect, and only do it if the friend offered to help
i have a friend who said she'll help anyone with ptsd flashbacks bc she experiences them and she wants them to be shown properly
Okay, this is a really wierd question, but, do females have a release? Im a newbie…

Do you mean an orgasm? Or do you mean something else?
Yes, i mean that… >////<
No need to be shy. You did ask after all.
And to answer your original question, yes, of course, females have orgasms. Why wouldn't they?
I don't think you should be writing this kind of scene. You seem really young and inexperienced.
I have several questions.
How? Like, what would be so confusing about it?
How old are you? Or alternatively, what is your level of Sex Education?
