"I'm sorry," Kenzie whispered, her eyes soft. She didn't know what else to say, how else to comfort him, so she simply took his hand gently in her own.
"Oh, there we are," Hunter interrupted, smiling as he parked his car. "Now you know where I'm taking you."
Kenzie looked up at the building in front of them.
"A spa? Hunter, you got us a spa date?" she asked, turning to him with excitement making her eyes glow.
(Jasmine sits patiently. Lonely and unsuspecting.)
Kenzie looked up at the building in front of them.
"A spa? Hunter, you got us a spa date?" she asked, turning to him with excitement making her eyes glow.
Hunter rubbed the back of his neck, grinning at the look in Kenzie's eyes.
"Well, technically it was my assistant," Hunter said. "But yeah, here we are."
Kenzie grinned and moved to get out of the car.
"C'mon, then! What're you waiting for, slowpoke?" she teased.
Hunter laughed.
"Someone's excited," he teased. "I should totally thank Henry when I get back to the estate."
"One, I haven't ever been to a spa before, so, yes, I'm excited. And two, you definitely should," Kenzie replied, opening her door and climbing out of the car.
Leah blushed and looked down.
Hunter smiled, following Kenzie into the building. When they reached the front desk, Hunter straightened and pulled on his formal look.
"Reservation for two," he said to the receptionist.
"Name?" the receptionist questioned without looking up.
"Hunter McArthur," Hunter replied before the woman checked them in and they made their way inside.
(Srry the power went out at our house for a little bit…)
(Should we skip to when they're done? 'Cause I've got no idea how to write spa stuff…)
(My sister and I are babysitting a two year old right now……*squeals SHE'S THE CUTEST THING EVER!!!!!!)
Leah stood up. "I'll be right back. I need to grab another coffee."

(Lol, cute.)
(She's watching Did Kratts and eating a snack while my sister and I do our schoolwork. She's SUPER well behaved it's amazing.)
Rafael shrugged loosely, returning to his work with a small smile. Something nervous and uncertain flickered in his eyes momentarily, but he shook his head to clear it, a lock of chocolate hair falling in his face.

(Wild Kratts? I used to like that show…)
Leah walked up to the counter and asked for another coffee, wondering why she couldn't stop blushing. It just wasn't like her. She returned and say down silently.

(XD Lol.
…When authors are clueless about what they're writing…)
“You okay?” Rafael looked up as Leah sat down again, rubbing at a splatter if dry paint in the back of his hand.
"Hmm? Oh. Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Are you?"

A couple of hours later
"That was nice," Kenzie murmured, resting her head on Hunter's shoulder as they walked back to his car. "…But now I'm hungry…"
“Of course.” He took a granola bar out from his pocket and opened it, munching on it absentmindedly while his pencil traced over the horizon line in his drawing, darkening it.
