In my opinion, ya'll youngins do not need to be writing about that stuff.
But, I digress.

If you really think about how both sex and a swing work you can figure it out.

Okay I looked it up. Despite being a kinda-smol I still look up smut and kinks because who doesn't like seeing stuff turn into nightmares via a debatabace (debatable ace, more ace-spectrum than anything)? I do that with everything, from puppies to kittens, and some kinks are fun to see how I can use elements of them for horror stuff idk. If I can screw something up, I will. It's not that weird, it's kinda a swing thing, sure, but it's kinda just a thing to hold you or your partner up in the air, like on a swing, whilst doing the fucc. It looks precarious so I personally wouldn't try it, but you can look it up, it isn't as totally crazy as it sounds.

I mean I thought I explained it well enough, but I guess no.

Shrugs

I can hardly think of a situation where you'd need to right about one unless you had a super bizarre fetish character, but you do you.

There are some things that I want to know about writing some smut.

  • Suggestions on transitioning from nice and sweet to hot and kinky.
  • Advice on writing positions
  • Dialogue during the act
  • Overall details

okay thats gonna take me a bit to write out, but I am working on it.

Is there anything specific that you want to know?

  • My suggestion for transitions from casual make out to doing to do is to go slow. I've noticed that a lot of writers tend to just jump in. And while that does happen in real life, it's not entirely 'romantic'. Especially if you want the readers to really enjoy the romance subplot instead of just see it as random smut. The slow burn is an effective tool that generally captures interest and has the readers connect more with characters. I would start with kisses and general cuddling and build up into the hot and kinky aspect. Make their movements a little more determined, quick, and hard to show the urgency, the need. Transition from having the characters thoughts about how much they care for the person to how much they want to feel them. When reach the point where the characters are at their most vulnerable, show that sweetness and love again before descending into the act itself. It's really easy to get caught up in the movements and the idea of sex, but once you're writing it and understand how your characters will act in such a situation it'll be easy to go with the flow.

  • Advice on positions, eh? Lol this made me laugh a little, not going to lie. My best advice for this is just to study. Look it up. It's natural to be curious about how all this works and the best way to learn is by example. I'd be careful though because that world can get wild pretty fast. (Since this was a little vague I'll wait for you to clarify on what you'd like to know specifically.)

  • Dialogue. Ermmmm. Honestly, during the act I'd stay away from it. It really is confusing when you have characters talking while doing the do for the reader to focus on what's happening. I mean you can have some kinky dirty talk here and there or an exclamation of some sort, but I'd stick with descriptions. Dialogue is just kinda bland and can get cheesy really quickly.

  • Over all details meaning…..? I'd search through the chat to see my other responses if you're curious.

Questions for my fellow writers, are you guys more dom, sub, or switch? I… I would like to say dom, but I'm a really, really subby kinda switch, but mostly sub overall.

Deleted user

woah i'm gonna take that as a writer and not an actual human being who is not active sexually

I mostly write sub. I like it.

Deleted user

SOrry, that was random. I do mean more from a writing perspective, sorry.

@evastardust groupRRAAAARRL

I don't really write smut, but I'd say that more of my guys are subs, and more of the girls doms.
Also I'd say the nonbinary and genderfluid characters are more dom? Idk, like I said I don't write smut.

ooooh ok.

Well i only really write a few of my OCs in smut, two are switch and two are sub. So i guess it just depends.

@Fraust

I almost always write sub, but my subs get more confident later on (when they're more experienced) and one of my characters is actually a switch sometimes
