(I'm out with my mom at the moment, so I might be a bit slow.)

Riverpaw whined pitifully, shifting her limp wings to try and get more comfortable. Horace, her trainer, had been rather tough with her breaks this time, but she was finally getting to rest her sore body. Her sister was still in the "Pool", which was where the humans took the injured Gladiators after they won a battle, so Riverpaw was a tad lonely in their enclosure. She wondered when the first group of dragons would be let into the Common Room to mingle.

Virdan sighed. He had found no safe way to get into the Hunted Wings Facility, but he was trying his best. They had planned to rescue a group of four, but no progress was being made on any sort of plan that wouldn't get them noticed this time around. No-one actually saw their faces last time, but it was still a close call. He stood up and stretched, then headed off to the base's kitchen - maybe a snack would help him think better.

@Fraust

Besu was carried into the room by a trainer and dropped none too gently onto the floor. He regained his balance and looked around for other dragons to play with.

Charlie stood in the bases kitchen, leaning against one of the counters with a glass of water in his hand. He half crossed his arms and thought about their recent failure, hoping they would successfully be able to get the dragons out soon.

"Charlie." Virdan greeted the young man with a nod as he entered the kitchen. He went straight to refrigerator and gathered the things he needed to make a sandwich.

Riverpaw was to go back into the training field in a moment, and she groaned at the thought of being literally man-handled for another hour or so. She was about to curl up for a nap on the stone that lay next to the pond when the enclosure door slid open. She looked up as Sky and her handler walked into the spacious room, the light brown dragon noticably limping on her left side. The human, who the two of them had come to dislike much less than the others, was gentle when helping Sky settle into the grass and when she removed the silver collar from around her neck.
The woman waved at Riverpaw, then left and locked the door behind her. Riverpaw jumped up and rushed to her big sister, sitting down and immediately hovering her paws over the injured shoulder. Routine, routine.

@Norepinephrinxx

"Hey Virdan." Charlie returned a nod and took a drink of his water.He watched as Virdan gathered a bunch of food. Charlie minded his own business unsure really of what to say.

Virdan set out his items, and glanced at Charlie as he took out a plate and butter knife. "You alright there, kid?" He asked Charlie, starting the bread and mayo and making a mental note to get some more mayonnaise next time he went out.

Sky purred and nuzzle Riverpaw once the younger had healed her shoulder as best as she could at the moment. A minute later, the door slid open again, and a tall human in a soft blue shirt was standing there, a bored look on her face and another silver collar in her hands. Riverpaw whimpered, but said goodbye to her sister and made her way to the door. The human, her handler, ignored the dragon's quiet sound of pain as the collar was roughly pulled on and locked into place. Once that was done, the woman snapped a thick lead onto it and yanked it to get Riverpaw's attention. "Listen, the day is almost over and I just want to get home to my brother. Hurry up and finish your session so we can all get on with our nights." Riverpaw nodded, then the enclosure door locked behind her as her handler led her back to the show training field.

"Right this way, everyone." A cheery voice said. There were never more than five people allowed in a tour group at a time, so she didn't have to raise her voice too much. "We've got a new addition to the display building. According to our Dragon Speakers, his name is Besu. He's a fledgling, a cute, excitable yellow and black dragon we've nicknamed Bee." The guide led the group down a hall, where a few other glass-wall rooms were lined, and they stopped at the room that had been empty until that day. The woman let the people gather around to see the new dragon.

Virdan nodded. "Me too. We'll get there, though. Last mission didn't end so well, but we can figure something else out." He stayed silent as he finished up the sandwich and put things away. He pulled out a pitcher of iced tea and poured himself a cup. "Have you any ideas?" He asked Charlie.

@Fraust

(Ack thank)
Besu noticed people coming and hopped over to the glass. There were shelf like things lining it that he could jump up on, which he did. He was trained to do that so people could see him better. He trilled cheerfully, pressing his nose up to the glass to watch the people.

"Oh, look at him! Mama, look!" A little girl bounced and tugged on her mother's shirt as she pointed. "Yes, I see him. He's a cutie pie, huh?" The woman smiled at her daughter's excitement. They and the three others, a little boy and two male adults, watched the little dragon excitedly.
"Go ahead and get up close." The guide said. "The glass is strong, so you may touch if you want."
Immediately, the two children pushed their faces against the glass to copy Bee.

@Fraust

Besu licked the glass, wagging his tail. Luckily, he didn't have to know any tricks or anything yet since he was still so young, but he'd likely be a show dragon in the future. He liked kids quite a bit; they were fun to watch. He hopped off the platform and went to grab some miscellaneous shiny thing. He brought it back over and tried to push it through the glass to the kids, although he just kept dropping it of course.

The children giggled at Besu. "What is he doing?" The little girl asked. The guide giggled. "Well, I'd say he's trying to give you a gift! He's done that with his favorite people here; it means he likes you."
The children squealed, and one of the adults got closer and pressed his hand against the glass. He tilted his head a bit and narrowed his eyes at the dragon curiously. "He looks like a unique breed."

@Fraust

Besu put his nose against the person's hand, extending his wings. It was obvious that the tips of his wings had been clipped to prevent him from flying, which the adults would understand, but the children likely wouldn't. Besu exhaled, a few bursts of light appearing around his head. He had magic, as all dragons did, but his currently wasn't strong enough to do any real damage.

@TinyMagicWolf pets

"He is a Western European Light dragon. Our Searchers found him somewhere along the island's coast, and we are still not sure what he was doing here or how he even got so far from home on his own. We only have one other of his specific kind in the facility at the moment." The guide explained.
The children didn't notice his clipped wings, but they 'oohed' when light illuminated around Besu. "What's that?" The boy asked the guide.
"That's his light magic. It's not powerful enough to burn anything or hurt anyone, though, so he usually just does that when he's happy. He also doesn't have to wear one of the collars we put on most of our dragons to prevent the use of their abilities."
"His wings are clipped." The mother pointed out, and the guide nodded. "Well, of course. We had to do that as soon as one of our Maternal dragons taught him to fly. He is a fast little guy, you know."

@Fraust

Besu enjoyed the children's reaction and hopped to his feet, emitting the light so his body had a pulsating glow. He jumped up and down, magic sparkling out from his feet as well. He folded his wings at this point though since they were getting in his way.

@Norepinephrinxx

"Maybe if we tried during their operational hours we could blend in with the crowds of people there to see the dragons. Although that could also be really dumb because there would be so many people there to witness." He laughed lightly at himself.
