“Fine. This should only take a few minutes.” She said and Caleb went and sat back near Kyle’s side, gently kissing his forehead. And indeed after a few minutes it was ready. Caleb gently shook Kyle. “Kyle, wake up now”
Kyle whined, blearily blinking his eyes open, "N-No… I don't wanna."
“Shh we have the thing that should hopefully make you feel better now” he handed him a small chain necklace with a pendant on it. “Put this on”
Kyle shakily reached out to grab it, slipping it over his neck with a sigh before lowering his head again, "D-Do you think it'll work?"
“It should.” Came the reply from the girl. “Most people here have one. I’m not sure how much it’ll help with your sickness, but it’s the best thing we can do for now.” She finished.
Caleb smiled at him, giving his hand a small squeeze.
Kyle gave his hand a small squeeze back, blowing a strand of hair out of his face, "Th-Thank you."
“You’re quite welcome” she said. “You don’t have to stay here overnight, but if your condition worsens, you need to come back immediately. But for now, go back to your room.”
Kyle nodded slightly, reaching out to Caleb to be picked up. He knew he couldn't walk, to weak to do so.
Caleb did so. “Thanks Katie, thanks Jason” he called out over his shoulder as he left, quickly getting him and Kyle back to their room. Caleb set him down gently on the bed before laying down next to him.
Kyle curled into Caleb's side, snuggling into him like a kitten, "Y-You're warm…" He mumbled.
Caleb chuckled. “Really? That’s good to know.” He wrapped his arms around Kyle, planting a kiss on top of his head. “I really hope that this will help you, at least a little bit.”
Kyle snuggled into him, hiding his face in his chest, "Me too," he said, his voice slightly muffled from how his face was pressed against Caleb's chest.
“For now though, you need to get some rest mister.” He said with a small smile, and reached over and turned off the lights.
Kyle sighed softly, letting out a small cough before snuggling into Caleb again, "Mkay, if you say so sir…"
“I do say so. It’s so that you can feel better.” He said cheerily but really he was still hella stressed inside.
"You needa sleep too," he mumbled, yawing, "You need rest…"
“I know I know, I’m going to.” He grumbled, shutting his eyes and wrapping his arms around Kyle a bit tighter.
He giggled sleepily, "Good…" He whispered, closing his eyes.
Caleb smiled a bit and yawned before he closed his eyes.
((Time skip to morning then
(litty)
Kyle woke up when dawn broke, whining softly from exhaustion and closing his eyes, trying to go back to sleep again.
Caleb was surprisingly already awake, currently just standing up, looking as if he was thinking about something.
Kyle blinked his eyes open, noticing Caleb and reaching an arm out for him, "Calebbbbb." He whined.
He jumped a bit but quickly tried to cover it up. He turned around with a smile. “What are you doing awake at this hour?”
"Can't sleep," He mumbled, "Why are you up? Come back to bed…"
“Can’t sleep either” he replied, laying back down next to him. Kyle could probably tell that’d he’d been up for awhile because he’d gotten pretty cold being out of bed.
Kyle curled into him, sighing softly, "Whatcha been thinking about?"
“Nothing specific” he replied, of course lying.
"Liar." He mumbled, poking him in the chest.
“Am I that easy to read? You’ve really been hanging around me too much” he responded but offered no real explanation
He pouted a little, "So you don't want me to hang out with you then?"
