Nyir: the sound of shoes scuffing against asphalt in the rain, dark clouds resting low in the sky, crackling lightning, coiled springs, condensation sliding down a whiskey glass, the revving of a car engine. "I handled it." Leader, dry, vengeful.
Daso: ice cream melting down your arm on a hot summer day, long winding roads, feeling like you're driving too fast, that smile you give a random kid as you walk past, laughter between siblings, sunshiny skies with the threat of a storm later, repressed feelings and cotton candy. Upon breaking up a fight between his teammates: "I know you guys probably go out for drinks after missions, but I'm like five and I would really like some ice cream." (He's sixteen.) Innocent, charming, funny.
Tyfer: warm hugs, taking off wet socks drying your feet and then putting on fuzzy warm socks, crunchy peanut butter, sand dunes, quilts, custom made novelty mugs, socks and sandals. "I don't have much to say. I mostly just sat around and missed you." Quiet, warm, intelligent.
TK: bloody knuckles, harsh laughter, eyeliner, sand in your mouth, the way the world grows fuzzy when you're on this side of tipsy, uninhibited laughter, kisses that taste like lipgloss, starless nights, crackling bonfires, cherries, tank tops, westerns, thunder rumbling in the distance. August: acing an exam, realizing you've been wearing your shirt inside out, lying in a clover field, bare feet, band t-shirts, sitting on the ground, eyelashes heavy with frost, headphones that drown out all noise, feeling comfortably alone, deep lakes, dark winters.
