"It's not-okay, it's hard to explain. Imagine a very, very small box, and a very, very big box. Can you do that?" Seni asked. Four snickered. "That talk? Again? Biiitch, you've gotta get better at this! You're turning into Blondie Boi™!" he said, looking towards the Doctor.
Olivia out her head on the table, giving up in confusion. "So my hallucinations are sentient. This is just - you know what, maybe if I hit my head hard enough, I'll wake up," she thought aloud, standing up.
(Uhh, if you're implying that she can see Four, nobody but Seni can see those particular hallucinations. Or I'm wrong and just misinterpreting what's being said here, sorry!)
(No I just meant the way that Seni was talking - Oh heck I'm big dumb.)
Olivia out her head on the table, giving up in confusion. "So my hallucinations are sentient. This is just - you know what, maybe if I hit my head head enough, I'll wake up," she thought aloud, standing up.
"No, I wouldn't recommend that!" the Doctor stood up and lightly grabbed her wrist. "Please, no self inflicted violence." he added.
Olivia stopped, frozen at the touch. "I, um. Ok, then," she said, slowly sitting back down.
"I'm sorry to have startled you. We landed here by accident, the TARDIS should be back to her plucky old self again quite soon now. We'll get out of your way." the Doctor smiled, a small amount of sadness in his eyes.
"Wait, wait. No. You - you can't just show up in a magic box and take a girl for a cup of tea and then leave her to wonder the the hell it was. What's your name, anyway?" Olivia asked somewhat hurriedly.
"The Doctor. I'm a Doctor of most things, and some more besides if anyone's asking." he said calmly.
"What the bloody… okay, fine. But I'm not gonna let you leave me now," Olivia stated. "Also, I just really love your hat. But that's not the point."
"Well you can't just come with us, stupid!" Seni burst out into hysterical laughter. "If you're gonna travel through time and space, you'll need skill, quick thinking, a steady head, and you obviously don't have any of those qualities. And that's just for peaceful locations!"
Throwing her hands up in the air, Olivia growled in frustration. FIne, then. Go on in your magic box and I'll - what, forget that a magic box once appeared out of thin air right in front of me? FIne. See if I care. This whole thing is probably just some elaborate trick, anyway." She said, standing up to leave.
"She's seen too much, on the other hand… Seni?" the Doctor asked. "Kill her then?" Seni responded. "No!! Just… one trip, just one. She… uh, Olivia, right! Uh, would you agree to that?" he asked.
Olivia thought about it for a moment. "Well, I can't exactly say no to that after my rant a minute ago, plus your hat is adorable, and I've always had a fondness for magic boxes, so… yes?"
"Ugh! No-" "Yes! She complimented my hat, how could we deny the woman!" the Doctor shouted, gaining some attention for a second before everyone went back to their business, deciding it was better to ignore the strange man.
Olivia shrugged, smiling. "I have a weakness for lovely hats, what can I say? But, maybe you could, er, not yell it out in public?"
"Oh, yes, sorry about that." he said. "He's had too much sugar, don't worry about him. Anyways, come on idiot." Seni growled.
"I'm not an idiot," Olivia replied absentmindedly.
"Yeah you are. Most people are though, it's not unusual." she shrugged.
"Okay. Can you - not call me an idiot, please?" She said, taking a breath. "It actually makes me want to jump off a bridge. And most people are perfectly smart, nice people," she said, jaw hardening.
"Whatever. Come on, or we'll leave you behind, slowpoke." Seni growled. "Seni, Seni, sunny sunshine, be nice to Olivia. She's perfectly intelligent and capable by herself, I'm sure!" the Doctor chastised.
Olivia rolled her eyes. "Whatever. I want a hat," she huffed, pouting almost like a child. She knew she should act her age, but she couldn't help it. It happened when she got angry. She was childlike.
"Have mine then," the Doctor giggled, removing his hat and putting it on Olivia's head. "Oh, don't be an idiot. C'mon, let's get back." Seni said, hoping she could maybe push Olivia into the Eye of Harmony as soon as possible. (That is actually a thing. No lie. Apparently only humans can open it because TARDIS ex machina.)
(Ik. I remember ^^)
Olivia grudgingly smiled. "I'm sorry, I like hats," she said almost nervously.
(Lol. The TV movie was kinda weird but then… it's friggin' Eight. I love muh boi. But Eric Roberts as the Master was really shitty… bad acting… ugh.)
"So do I! See, we're getting along so well, we're friends already!" the Doctor said. He was like a hyperactive puppy, Seni didn't know why she still put up with him.
Olivia couldn't help but smile. This man… the "doctor?" Reminded her of herself, in a strange way. But the word "friend?" Or, even stranger, the word "friends?" Not something she was used to hearing. She paused for a moment, but quickly shook her head to clear it. "Oh, um. Thanks. Thank you. I don't have a lot of friends," she laughed nervously, fidgeting with her sleeve.
"Well, you should travel more then. I've made lots of friends that way… and lost some, but that's not a big deal." he said, his tone becoming slightly darker but he instantly became bright again, forgetting any negativity.
Olivia frowned. Losing someone seemed like a big deal to her, but she decided not to push it. It must be difficult to talk about. "What do you do, anyway? Like, for work, I mean. You said you were a doctor, but… what kind of doctor? And why do you need a box to do that?"
"Well, I'm a doctor of most things and some more besides. I travel places, just for fun. And if people call for help, I'll answer, from Autons to Zygons. It gives me purpose, something I haven't had for a long… long time." he said quietly. "Well come on then, to the ship!" he took Olivia by the hand, running all the way there. Seni groaned and ran after them, the idiots.
Olivia squeaked quietly, unused to contact, but a grin quickly settled on her face as she ran with him. He was so absolutely childlike, and yet at the same time he acted like he knew all the secrets of the universe. She couldn't figure him out. What was Autons and Zygons? She found she didn't really care. It was hard not to completely give her trust to the Doctor.
