(Yes?)
(Yes?)
(Then answer Lillian's question?)
Lillian just let the conversation happen, "Uh, can I ask how you two know each other? Besides theater of course."
"Oh, he used to live next door to me. We hung out a lot as kids." Plus he's one of my angels so I know him pretty well.
Lillian nodded and grinned, "Cool."
(I'm rereading Belle and Ryan's wedding day and I want to fucking cry)
She shrugged. "Yeah, we were pretty close."
"So you two probably know a lot about each other," Lillian surmised, "Okay."
"Eh. It's been a while. Things have probably changed a lot."
"Yeah," Lillian sighed, "Time tends to do that."
"Yeah… I live alone now even though I'm apparently not supposed to." Lloyd shrugged a bit, folding his wings.
"Wait you live alone?" Lillian turned her attention to Lloyd, "How old are you again?"
"…Fifteen." Lloyd said quietly, his heart beating faster. What could they do about it, though?
"No wonder you have shit habits," Lillian responded, "You're not even old enough to get a job."
"Well, people pay me to do things sometimes, but no… I don't really have a job." This could be bad.
"Lloyd's been independent for a long time. He does what he believes is right no matter what. If I had a dollar for every time I had to talk him out of a decision, I'd have a goddamn mansion by now." She laughed.
"Oh," Lillian responded with a slight laugh, "As long as your doing okay, then I don't have a problem."
"Heh… yeah… I don't know if it's actually legal for me to live alone, though. If there's any food in my apartment, I haven't found it yet." He laughed weakly, crossing his arms tightly over his stomach and avoiding eye contact.
"First off it is definitely not legal for you to live alone," Lillian clarified, "But I'm not going to tell. Second off, dude. You need food."
Lloyd nodded, still holding his stomach. It had pretty much given up on growling at this point. He ate just barely enough to keep him alive, but other than that, he was basically starving. The hoodie he wore not only hid his wings, but also how thin he was.
Lillian frowned and then reached into the bag at her side pulling out a granola bar, "Here. The school does have free lunches and breakfast you know? If you don't have a steady source of food you should sign up for that."
Lloyd hesitantly accepted the granola bar. "But other people probably need it more than me… I-I'll be okay. I mean, I might pass out now and again as I'm prone to doing, but I'm still alive… r-right?" My logic is awful right now.
"Lloyd, I've saved your ass a thousand times and I'll do it a thousand more. Take the damn help. I know you hate doing it but you need to."
Lloyd sighed quietly, closing his eyes. Don't pass out. That won't help your case. Hhhhhh. "I… I-I just feel bad taking things…" He tried to give the granola bar back to Lillian.
"No no no, you're not doing this feelings thing again. Eat the freaking granola bar. You're nothing but skin and bones, you need something."
Lillian had her hands in her pockets and her bag out of his reach, "Belle, please try and help me convince Lloyd he should take the free food. That is being given to him. Like it is offered to every other student. And probably about half of it gets thrown away anyway."
"B-But it's yours…" Lloyd said weakly. "What if… what if you need it?"
"I brought it for you," Lillian answered, "So it eat it."
Lloyd was quiet for a few seconds. "Are… are you sure?" I know I need it, but I feel bad…
Lillian laughed with a smile, "Yes Lloyd. I'm positive."
Lloyd hesitated before sitting down in the corner, reluctantly opening the food. He tentatively took a bite and drew his knees up to his chest.
Lillian nodded and watched him for a second, "Good."
