Jasper nodded "yep that's the one." He nodded towards her "your turn."
Jasper nodded "yep that's the one." He nodded towards her "your turn."
Scarlett thought about it for a moment before a small smile broke over her face, “How about this one?” She cleared her throat and started, tapping her foot for music, “On the other side of a street I knew.”
Jasper tilted his head thought, some of the kids repeated the line over and most just shook their heads. Jasper gestured for her to continue singing, not knowing the song yet
“Stood a girl that looked like you, I guess that’s deja-vu,” She continued, happy with herself that no one had figured out the song. Her foot still tapped along the beat and she knew the song would be easier to recognize if she knew how to play the guitar.
Jasper smiled, recognizing the song and started to play the guitar. "But I thought this can't be true, 'Cause you moved to west L.A or New York or Santa Fe"
She nodded enthusiastically and continued. “Wherever to get away from me,” She sang with a shrug, looking to the kids to see if any of them knew it quite yet.
Jasper laughed and glanced to the kids to encourage them to sing along or guess. One of them jumped up and started singing the next line "Oh but that one night
Was more than just right, I didn't leave you cause I was all through,"
“Oh I was overwhelmed and frankly scared as hell, because I really fell for you,” She continued, dancing in place in happiness from at least one kid knowing the amazing song.
Some other kids started to recognize the song but chose not to sing along, wanting scarlet to keep going on until they felt 100% correct. "Oh I swear to ya, I'll be there for ya This is not a drive by."
She looked to Jasper and nodded in hanks for him playing the guitar. “Just a shy guy looking for a two ply, Hefty bag to hold my love,” She sang, looking around the room as she tapped her foot to the beat. “When you move me everything is groovy, they don't like it sue me, mm way you do me.”
He nodded back and continued playing "Oh I swear to you, I'll be there for you
This is not a drive by," he sang, moving around to the song as they started to sing
“On the other side of a downward spiral, my love for you went viral.” She mimicked a photo being taken of the kids and Jasper before making a heart with her fingers, “And I loved you every mile you drove away.”
Jasper laughed along with the kids and blew her a kiss "And I loved you every mile you drove away, But now here you are again" at this point, most kids knew what the song was but wanted to enjoy it a little longer
“So let’s skip the How you been and get down to the more than friends at last,” She laughed and caught the kiss, blowing one back at him as she started dancing in place.
Jasper smiled at her little act "Oh but that one night Is still the highlight I didn't need you until I came to,"
It was clear she was having fun singing and acting out the song and she continued, acting slightly scared for the next part, “And I was overwhelmed and frankly scared as hell, because I really fell for you.”
Jasper played along, slowly getting closer to her "Oh I swear to you, I'll be there for you This is not a drive by."
“Just a shy guy, looking for a two ply hefty bag to hold my love,” She made a heart with her fingers again and made no attempt to move away from Jasper, a small smile on her face, “When you move me everything is groovy, they don’t like it sue me mmm the way you do me.”
He winked and nudged her with his shoulder lightly "This is not a drive by Please believe that when I leave There's nothing up my sleeve but love for you,"
“And a little time to get my head together too,” She said, nudging him back and winking as well. With a smile she looked back out at the kids, knowing at this point they were just listening to the two of them be dorks, “On the other side of a street I knew, stood a girl that looked like you.”
The kids giggled at watching their two teachwrs sing. They sat down on the benches and watched
"I guess that's deja vu But I thought this can't be true, 'cause Oh I swear to you, I'll be there for you This is not a drive by,"
“Just a shy guy looking for a two ply Hefty bag to hold my love.” She danced a step away from him before dancing back closer to him again, “When you move me everything is groovy, they don't like it sue me, mm way you do me.”
He laughed at her assumed taunting "Oh I swear to ya, I'll be there for ya This is not a drive by." He finished off, strumming the guitar once more
She clapped for him as she caught her breath, the singing wearing her out even though it was really quite fun.
Jasper breathed a heavy breath and pulled off his guitar. "Alright, I think your parents are here kids," he said, waving the parents in. "Have a great weekend." He smiled and waved
Scarlett waved to the kids as they left, leaning against the wall and resting her head back against it, “That was fun, but a lot of work.” Looking at him, she smiled, “You’re really good with a guitar, you know that?”
He smiled "thanks, you're not to bad at singing." He glanced around and frowned, noticing that his brother had left. He sighed softly and took Scarlet's hand in his
She squeezed his hand lightly and looked around the studio, humming the song they just sang to herself. “Well, what should we do the rest of the day? I’m still free remember, no classes to worry about.”
"ah right, you needed a 'break'" he laughed softly and pulled her in a loose hug. "We need to head home and talk. Something came up." He muttered, gently stroking her hair
“My house or your house?” She asked, resting her head on his shoulder and hugging him gently. Just being by him was nice and she could have stayed like that all day.
