She giggled. "I'll at least try."
She giggled. "I'll at least try."
“That’s all anyone can do,” He replied, shifting around before finding a good spot and resting there as they watched Justin practice.
(Skip to the end? Or should they talk a little bit?)
(I say just skip, but it’s up to you)
(Skip is fine!)
Justin approached her after the practice, smiling warmly. "Hey."
"Hey," she replied softly.
"What did you think?" he asked.
"You are really good!" she assured him happily.
Fyn smiled when the two started talking, looking around the area and staying silent.
"Thanks," he replied with a grin. "So, uh, would you want to go grab some coffee with me? Maybe tomorrow before school?"
She froze in joy and shock.
"Off you don't want to, it's fine…"
"No! No! I… I want to."
“Nice job,” Fyn whispered encouragingly in Megan’s ear, smiling when she said yes.
"Cool!" he replied, smiling even bigger.
She giggled shyly.
Going back to his silence, he put a hand on her shoulder and went back to looking around.
"So, I'm going to head out. You need a ride home?" he asked with a smile.
"Oh, um… I'm fine. I have a car. But thank you!" she replied.
"Yeah, no problem. C'mon, I'll walk you out."
“Now time to see if the others are still here,” Fyn whispered in her ear again, “Hopefully they won’t be, but if they are at least Justin might help you.”
Megan swallowed nervously and nodded.
Justin wrapped an arm around her comfortingly. "Something wrong?"
"No. Nothing," she answered quietly.
“Just ask him to walk you all the way to your car if he can,” he whispered, “It’ll be safer than just having him leave to go to his car right away.”
"Can you walk with me… all the way to my car?" she asked shyly.
He smiled down at her. "Of course!"
Fyn smiled, patting her softly on the shoulder, “Now, we just get to your car.”
She nodded subtly.
Justin scooped up her hand in his and weaved their fingers together nonchalantly.
Meghan bit her lip so she wouldn't squeal.
Smiling, Fyn let himself drop behind the two a few steps and gave them some time to themselves without him hovering next to them.
Meghan followed Justin out the door into the parking lot. "Where's your car at?" he asked, gently squeezing her hand.
"Over there," she pointed.
Fyn stayed silent, putting a hand on Megan’s shoulder for a second before going on ahead of the two, towards her car.
Meghan bit her lip. Was Savannah there? As her car came into sight, she could see that Savannah want there, but she clearly had been. Her car was covered with splotches of randomly colored paints. The driver's side window was smashed too, and the hammer that did it laid in the drivers seat surrounded by broken glass. Everything she had in the car too was missing, probably stolen. Her eyes teared up quickly and she cupped her hands over her mouth. "Oh my God…"
Justin held her waist gently, trying to soothe her somehow.
When he saw what happed, immediately he went to Megan’s side and hugged her gently, though he was careful not to touch Justin incase he could feel him, “I’m so sorry Megan…”
She closed her eyes so she didn't have to look. A quiet sob escaped her lips. She heard Justin say something not very nice about Matt.
“We’ll get you home and figure out who helped Savannah do this, I promise,” He whispered quietly, “Maybe Justin can give you a ride, otherwise we can just walk.”
She nodded subtly to Fyn. "I-I can walk home," she stammered.
"No, I can give you a ride," Justin offered.
"I'll just walk," she insisted, knowing how out of the way it would be for him.
"Meghan…" he sighed.
"Thank you, but I want to walk."
Fyn nodded and went over to the car, trying to see if there was anything in the car that was left or worth salvaging.
Justin sighed. "Alright. See you tomorrow then?"
"Yeah," she agreed.
He smiled sadly. "I'm sorry this happened to you." Then he went to his car.
She looked at her shoes until he was gone.
“Ready to walk?” He asked gently once he came back from the car, putting a hand on her shoulder again, “Maybe you could call you mom or dad and they could take your car back to your house instead of leaving it here?”
Meghan didn't know what to do. "They'll be mad," she whispered.
“They’re going to be mad if you don’t come home in your car,” He pointed out gently, “You just have to explain what happened, everything that happened today.”
