His best friend, Josh, flopped down on the ground beside Kory. "How do you always win?" He asked through gulps of air.

Another drop spilled down Ani's face and she looked up… right in time to get a raindrop in the eye. She growled and wiped the rain out of her eyes. I really need to fix the leak soon. She thought angrily. It sucks.

Lexi keeps glancing up at the door, 'Dad has been gone all break and school starts tomorrow he might not even be here to wish me luck.' He pitched it like it was a good thing a school full of people like her. As if being around other mutants might be a good thing, but it's always the same people always avoid her.

"I'm hot." Josh said. Kory opened his hand and pointed it up at the sky. Thunder boomed, and it started raining. "Don't do that in public, man!" Josh said.

Autumn appeared next to Kory, flicking her hair over her shoulder, though it came right back to its original place. "Stupid short hair. Keeps you from making a dramatic entrance," she muttered as she flopped down on the grass

A girl flopped down beside Kory suddenly. "Where did you come from?" He asked. "It seemed like you popped from out of nowhere!" Then he saw it was Autumn, and he relaxed. "Oh. It's you."

"Thanks for noticing. What's up?" Autumn looked up and got a raindrop right in her eye. "OH! Kory!"

Lexi moved to close the window above the desk before the rain ruined all of the paper work. 'Were did this weather come from? wasn't it going to be sunny?'

Autumn stood up, groaning, rubbed her eye viciously with one fist and connecting the other to Kory's upper arm.

Margaret got up from her desk in the corner of the kitchen, noticing the raindrops slipping dismally down the glass. “Hey, Dad?” She called. Meg got two “Yeah”s in reply, so she said, “Sorry. Both of you. I’m going out, k? Just for a walk.” “It’s raining!” Bucky called. “Stay warm!” Steve yelled after her.
