The men saw her trying to hide her face, and they stood in front of her. "Miss, I'm going to have to ask you to remove your hood." She was silent. "Miss, if you don't co-operate, we will arrest you for obstruction."

@Sugar-Lover

He lightly kicked her leg under the table, discreetly mouthing the words ‘trust me’. “Sweetie, don’t keep these men from finding that criminal.” He turned to the men, “Pardon her, she’s always been a stubborn soul, don’t know why I married her.”

Kallista slowly worked up a disguise under her hood while the guard was distracted. She changed her hair from it's mousy brown and platinum to a very dark brown, and her magenta eyes to a dull brown. She wasn't able to remove her scar, but she was able to manipulate her skin pigments to make it appear less like a dark magic scar and more like a port wine stain.

@Sugar-Lover

He slowly reached down to grab a dagger, which so conveniently hidden against his leg. He was ready to pull it in case things went south. “Well I mean I do know why I married her, she’s just perfect for me, ya know?”

Kallista pulled her hold down and faced the guard. "Sorry, sir," She said politely. "I'm just very self-concious of my port wine, and I don't like strangers seeing it. You understand, right?"
"Of course, miss. Thank you for your co-operation."

@Sugar-Lover

He watched as the men walked away to another group of people across the room. “You should be more careful, you could have been killed. Besides, you shouldn’t be in a place this populated when you’re wanted.”

(I saw Aladdin today)

"I have to go out in populated places, otherwise I can't get around," Kallista replied, pulling her hood back over and returning to her original pigmentation. "Thanks for saving my wings, though."

@Sugar-Lover

Taking his empty cup in his hand he stood up from the booth. “No problem,” he said and walked over to the bar, finding a crack in the people to the actual bar part.

Kallista finished off her drink, standing up. She left a coin on the table as payment and then walked outside, wanting to get away.

@Sugar-Lover

Once at the bar he grabbed a cup of water, downing it in one sip. He went outside, trying to catch a break from the crowd. He spotted Kallista and slowly headed in her direction.

She walked into the darkness, stopping to look up at the stars. She wanted to open her wings and fly away, but she was too far out into the open.

Kallista looked a him, then back at the sky. "Did I ask?" She questioned. "Look, I'm not in the need for a relationship of any type right now."

@Sugar-Lover

“I can still get those men and turn you in if I wanted.” Cody pointed back toward the bar. “There was a reason why I didn’t turn you in.”

Deleted user

"And what was that?" She turned to look at him sharply. "Because I'm pretty? Because you want me? I can look after myself. You wouldn't do anything."

@Sugar-Lover

Cody let out a laugh. “My reason wasn’t because you’re pretty, not even close. I didn’t turn you in because I figured you wanted to get away from here.” He motioned to the people that were in the nearby town. “I’ve been waiting for someone determined enough to leave. I know of some place, far away that’s hard to reach, for people like us.”

"And you think that Pazia won't find it?" Kallista asked, talking about Arapazia. "You don't know Pazia like I do. She was fine before the ceremony. And then the magic took her."

@Sugar-Lover

“Ah, but she won’t. You see, this place doesn’t exist, at least to the magic world.” Cody lowered his voice as he explained. “It’s been cursed, long before we kept any form of records, it’s unsearchable. You can’t find it on any map, magic or not. When you’re in there, you don’t exist. At least that’s what the myth says.”

Deleted user

"So it's a myth. I don't put my faith in myths." She looked around to see no one near them, and she took her cloak off. It revealed her dark blue wings, almost flat against her back.

@Sugar-Lover

“What’s the harm in searching? If it ends up not truly being there, then at least you’re far away from whoever is searching for you.” He took a step back and looked at her wings pressed against her back. “Your wings are quite pretty by the way.”

Deleted user

Kallista unfolded her wings, and their true magnificence was revealed. "They aren't, really. If you saw Undina's…" A tear dripped from her eye as she remembered her sister.

@Sugar-Lover

“Now don’t cry,” he reached over to wipe the tear from her check. “We all hold a beauty that is not comparable to other’s. It’s like comparing apples and oranges.”

Deleted user

Normally Kallista would slap his hand away, but for some reason she didn't. "Look, I can cry. I can remember my sister and marvel at how beautiful her wings were. I can remember Paraden, and you can't tell me otherwise."

@Sugar-Lover

“I never said you can’t remember your sister or Paraden, whoever they are. I just asked that you don’t cry, I personally don’t think it makes people look too attractive.” He put his arm down and took a step back. “So you still don’t want to try and find this place with me?”

Deleted user

"Don't tell me that I can't cry," She snapped. "And no, I don't want to find this place with you. I don't believe in myths, and you've told me that it is one. And Arapazia will stop at nothing to find me, and she will find this place easily."

@Sugar-Lover

“How well does this Arapazia person know you?” Cody asked. “If she knows you, she’ll know that you wouldn’t go chasing after a myth. So it’s actually one of the last places she would look for you.”

Deleted user

"We used to be best friends," She replied. "So she knows me quite well. Better than most."

@Sugar-Lover

“Then going to a place that’s supposed to be a myth would be the best hiding place. It doesn’t matter if it’s really true or not, she’d never guess it to be there.” Cody spoke with his hands.

Deleted user

"She wouldn't guess it was there because she doesn't know about it. Paradenians know if a myth is real or not, we just do."

@Sugar-Lover

“So tell me, with your magical myth telling powers, if this is real or not.” Cody crossed his arms across his chest. “And either way, if it be true or not, there can’t bring much more harm than being the public where everyone can see you.”
