So I'm having trouble picking one of these 2, because sometimes the characters look better with a human-esque face. Also, the damage they take are some of which humans take, like laying down face first on to something.
Sometimes a character will get punched in the face, and their face will get caved in like this:
Sometimes a character will not only get grabbed by the mouth, but their entire face:
So which is better out of the 2? I really, REALLY want to know.
I'm planning on making commissions to get these characters drawn. I want them in a 90's anime style.
I don't think that's one of the 2 choices, friend.
(Sorry for the EXTREMELY late reply, I honestly didn't know if I wanted to reply or even how to)
Alright, that's 1 for snout. Anybody else?
Give them a snoot! That way, instead of simply grabbing the face, you could clamp their jaws down to prevent them from opening their mouth. Then you could throw him into a wall or something, I don't know. Also, there's more snoot surface-area that could lead to a broken nose or jaw rather than a flat human face.
That's the problem that I see when giving them the snout, they'll also, possibly, have a disfigured face when their snout is also broken, but 2 for the snout I guess.
Anybody else?
I think you should give them a human face because I completely agree with the disfigured face thing. Also because of the thing where you could throw him. I mean, why give him a snout if people are going to use it to throw him across the room, right?
Give 'em snout…
No reason…
Okay, we got a different vote now. That's 1 for the human face.
Anybody else? I'll go for 5 votes for either one of those to determine what I'm going to use once I get these characters commissioned (when I get the money).
You know, you could just draw 2 pictures of the OC. One with a human face, and one with a snout. Decide which one looks better, and go with that one.
While that does sound like a good idea, the thing is that I've lost interest in drawing a long time ago.
Why?
Idkkk..I just like snouts on characters lol. I have a half wolf half human character and she has a snoot and I love her soooo, yee…
Personally I prefer the snout for aesthetic reasons, but everything you've described sounds like a human face would work better for whatever it is you're planning so I'd say go with that.
So human face is your answer then?
i say you should do human face
What happens if this ends up being a tie?
Cool. In my opinion, if you give the character a snout, it would make more sense if it was a walking, talking animal.
I guess. Some furry characters do have snouts, and because of the art style, they look good regardless.
Anybody else got something?
Necrobump, because I still want to know if the human face is better or the snout.
Sorry if I'm being rude, but I really want to know. And I found the artist that I want to commission to draw these characters. He's/she's on Deviantart and I found out this person on a live stream I was watching earlier.
It is likely that I'll go for the human face at this point, but what do you guys think?
Oh god you guys are such furries.
Even if we were, what's it to you?
