Val sighed in relief at seeing him pop up. She picked at the grass around her and smiled softly

Drke walked out of the water, flopping down next to Val and lying down in the grass with a sigh.

"had you're fun?" She asked, glancing at him with a raised eyebrow "how long can you stay underwater?"

Drake shrugged a shoulder, “I dunno. I while I think.”

She nodded "do you happen to know if dragon kind such as yourself can have similar power's?" She asked

Drake hummed softly, "It's possible, yes but a rarity, though," He sighed, "Most of my kind have powers that fall within the realm of the elements and have different strengths involving them. The ones with more power like myself have powers unique to them."

"So it'd be next to impossible for two beings to have such simulators in power," she nodded and looked off into the distance

"Pretty much." He mumbled. He knew she was going to figure out Kerrian was him and he was the dragon very soon, now.

"interesting…" She thought for a moment before standing and heading to the castle "I'm heading back, I'll see you later." She called over her shoulder

Drake frowned and stood up quickly, "The Hells are you doing?" He called after her.

"library." She called back, shifting back to her wolf form and running off towards the castle

Drake sighed softly and rubbed at his temples. Well… looks like she's going to find out…

Val had made it to library and had started pulling out books on dragon like creatures, staking them up near a desk. She also found on few on Fae creatures and decided to keep those for later as well

Drake rubbed at his face, groaning into them a second later. He felt Kerrian chuckling and he mentally glared at the dragon.

Once she had twenty or so books near the desk, Val returned to her room to change out of the slightly damp dress and into a comfortable one and to pull her hair into a bun. Once she had returned to library she sat by the desk and pulled up the first book, "History on dragon kind"

The first few pages of the book were more focused on the anatomy and the inside of a dragons mind, going in depth about their general thoughts, feelings and desires and the different kinds of dragon out there.

Val took some notes and continued on, delving deeper into the inner workings of dragon kind and how they related to the land's first started off with the four elementals.

In went in depth about the different factors of the elements and how they related to the specific dragon. Then it went on to talk about the different categories inside the elements and how some dragons develop their own, special ability.

Val found this interesting and started to write more notes down, remembering that both Drake and Kerrian had similar powers, both blue hues, and that Drake's worked well with water.

The next page went into detail about how some elements can fuse and combine together. they used a few examples of his happening but one of them, was about fire and water, and how the dragons flame can easily blend and merge with water.

Val continued with the notes, pairing this specific idea with the example of Kerrian using his flame to find her in the forest without burning anything

There seemed to be a couple pages on that specific topic missing which was quite confusing. The book then moved on to the history of dragon kind.

Val blinked in confusion, hoping she'd find the missing information in another book later on. She continued to read well into the night

Drake came back to the castle not long before sundown and went to his room. He got curious as to what Val was doing and went to find her.

Val had pulled her hair free from the bun to try to relieve the headache that had formed from reading for so long. She had moved to the seat by the window, using the moonlight as a light and turning off the know to not disturbed others. She set aside her research books and had picked up a book to read for fun

Drake had a small flame in his palm to light his way, weaving through the dark bookshelves before finally finding Val.

She glanced up as she saw light approaching "hi Drake, something wrong?" She asked, setting the book aside. "Is the light too much?" She pointed towards the open curtains

Drake shrugged, biting his lower lip. It was, but he didn't want to say, "I was just checking up on you… see if you were reading when you should be sleeping."

She smiled softly and nodded, touched by his concern "yeah, I am. I'll go to sleep in a few hours." She stood closed the curtains so only a bit of light was coming through. "So what are you doing besides sleeping and stalking me in libraries? Taking a moonlit stroll through the castle?"

Drake rubbed at the back of his neck with his free hand, making his fire disappear, "I was just looking for you… that's all…" He said quiet.
