(Um could you? It might be easier idk… thank you)
(Of course)
Once Val was sure Drake had gone back to the castle she shifted into her wolf form and ran to the woods nearby. She needed to get adrenaline out, she refused to go back home with so manny nerves pent up
When Drake had arrived back at the castle, he ended up going back to the cellar where Val had first kept him, sitting by the window. For some reason he wanted to be back there, maybe because it gave him time to think.
Val went to the throne room, groaning silently as she saw the king from before awaiting her. "Ah, there she is! frolicking around again your majesty?" he joked. She snarled at him as she climbed the dais to the throne and glared at him "what do you want Jarskire?" she drawled, fed up with the neighboring kingdom's issued
Drake stayed in the cellar for a little while longer before he came out, slightly on edge and in a bad mood. He didn't know why, he'd just fallen into a crap mood as he headed for the throne room.
Jarskire stood from his bow and smiled stupidly “only to come back and check in about the alliance we discussed.”
Val rolled her eyes “I’m. Not. Forming. An. Alliance. With. You.” She said slowly. “I have to interest in putting my subjects in the middle of your dumb war.”
“They’ll be in the middle of the war even if you don’t fight! Your kingdom isn’t right between the Draegon kingdom.”
“And?” Val smirked
Drake pushed open the doors at that moment, "What about the Draegon kingdom?" His eyes narrowed the slightest bit.
Val jerked her head to Jarskire. “War across border we’re in the middle, same problem as last week. Did I get right?” She tilted her towards Jaskire and raised an eyebrow
“More or less,” he grumbled, flinching at the voice of Drake
"I'll deal with it. Just give me permission onto your land." His voice had a slight growl to it. He really was looking for a fight.
Jaskire whirled in his heal “what In the gods name would ever let you think I’d let you into my lands?! There is no way that I’d ever let Draegon kind into my land!”
Val leaned back into her throne, smiling softly as Clarissa inched her way towards her. “War again?” He asked softly. Val nodded “yep, sounds fun, right?” She rolled her eyes playfully, earning a laugh from the young maid
Drake snarled, "Did you want any help getting that filth off your land or not? You're too weak to do it yourself, I'm offering help."
“How dare you call me weak?! Do you honestly think I’m going to believe anything you say?! Considering the filth plaguing my land are your subjects!*” Jaskire took a step back from Drake but still held eye contact
His claws extended, "Those pieces of filth are not my people. I will not have that bastard Herna ruin my reputation and my kingdoms reputation any longer! I've had enough. Either get off her majesty's land and let your people suffer and die at his hands or let. me. kill. it."
Jarskire shook his head with a smirk, already backing out of the throne room "He's your kind whether you like it or not Draegon. Calling it names won't change what your kind are." he spat the last words acidically and turned on his heal
Val watched him go, eyes narrowed and hand gripping the arm of the throne. Clarrise reached over and took her queen's hand "he can't attack without your permission, right?"
Val relaxed and nodded "No but Herna doesn't need permission to do anything."
Drake lunged before Jarskire could even get to the door, tackling him to the ground with his claw round his neck, snarling.
val stood from her throne “Drake let him go.” She shook her head slightly as a Clarrise made a move to follow her. Val places a gentle hand onus shoulder
“Why?” He growled, claws tightening ever so slightly around the mans neck.
"Because if you kill him then the rest of his idiot army will find a reason to go to war with both the kingdoms." She argued, trying to pull him back "Neither of us have time to deal with that and you know that. Plus we need him for information Herna."
Drake snarled but moved off of him. His claws were still out and his eyes were still trained on him.
Val sighed in relief “Thank you,” She whispered before coming to stand in front of Jarskire. She bend down and gripped him by the collar.she spoke quietly before roughly letting him go. He stared in horror at her “You bitch….you’ll die for this. I’ll kill you my self.”
Val rolledher eyes and walked back to the throne “get in line.” She smirked and watched him cower away
Drake eyed him to the last second, only once he was out of view did the claws retract.
“Thank you for not killing him.” Val said, relaxing a bit and standing from the throne. “Believe me I know it’s tempting.”
Drake looked to Val, still fuming, "He's got his facts all wrong."
"As do most. There's little we can do to change that. Until they decide to open their eyes to the truth, this will only continue." she waved her hand to where Jarskire had disappeared to.
"We need to do something about it, now. You act as if this is a small thing, but it isn't. I know what Herna's like, I've fought the bastard. I'm going back home and ending it."
Val walked up to him, nerves still on end but she managed to keep her tone calm and even. “And did you win? Did you win when you fought Herna the first time? No, you didn’t. So now we have to take a strategic approach to this problem. I may not be as action pact as you may want but I know what I and my court can do. Never call that a small act.” She turned away from him and headed out the doors. “Do what you want Drake, I’ve told you before, you’re free to do what you wish.” She nodded to him once before disappearing down the halls
She was right, though he hated that she was. He growled under his breath, heading out into the gardens and off the castle grounds and to the ocean. He needed to get away before he did something he regretted. Once he was at the beach, he shifted, laying down close enough to the waves that his front claws were submerged when the tide came in.
Val had locked herself away in the study with Clarrise. They read books on Draegon folklore as well as their history with other dragon kind until it was late into the night. “Sleep clarrise. I’m going to stay here a while.” The maid hesitantly nodded before retreating back to her own sleeping quarters
Drake stayed out all night, letting the waves calm him enough to fall asleep. He just wished the world would be at peace for once.
