“Well, that’s a very good question,” Arvil hummed as he waited for her to join him. “Have you seen the Aladdin movie that came out? I figured you’d like that.”
“Well, that’s a very good question,” Arvil hummed as he waited for her to join him. “Have you seen the Aladdin movie that came out? I figured you’d like that.”
Daisy shook her head and closed the door behind herself. “No, I haven’t. It looked good, though. I would watch it.”
“Haven’t watched it, either,” Arvil held out a hand for her to take. “Wasn’t really going to, either, but hey. For you, I would.”
Daisy rolled her eyes good-naturedly and took his hand, stepping closer to his side. “Well, thanks, I guess. You’re sacrificing your day to spend time with a fake fiancée slash friend at a movie you don’t actually want to see…”
Arvil intertwined their fingers, finding warmth in her hold. How was it that her hand always seemed to fit in his? It was stupid to think that, but he had began to wonder if their hands were meant to fit. “I’d rather be with you than the office,” Arvil scrunched his nose. “Besides, I could always sleep on you.”
“Oh, stop. You are such an incessant flirt. Is that just in your nature or something?” Daisy asked, looking up at him with a small, some what teasing, smirk.
Arvil shot her a smirk, tugging her to the entrance. “Well, it is,” he paused before winking at her. “But flirting with you has become my favorite thing to do.”
Daisy rolled her eyes and glanced away again, her cheeks turning pink again. “All right, all right… Do you want to get the tickets while I get the snacks?”
“I’ve already bought the tickets,” Arvil chuckled. “Online. We simply need to get the snacks.”
“Oh. Well, that was smart. You reserved seats, then? Which row?” Daisy asked as they stepped past the ticket lines to the snack counter. A flash to her right drew her attention, and she sighed. “So… Apparently, we were followed…”
Arvil sighed. “You get used to it. Mind if I kissed you?” he muttered under his breath. “And I reserved the top seats. J section. Twelve and thirteen.”
Daisy blinked once, surprised as she looked back up at him. “Oh. Yeah, sure. That would probably get them off our tails,” she murmured, chewing on her lip.
Arvil smiled down at her affectionately, something he didn’t even need to fake, and reached out to cradle her face in his hands. God, she was just so beautiful… His thumbs brushed against her cheeks, eyes raking in everything before he finally leaned in, pressing their lips together softly.
Daisy watched him as he slowly led up to the kiss. When his lips finally met hers, she had so much anticipation built up that the soft touch surprised her more than a hard one would have. And stars did she like it like that… Had he ever kissed her softly like this? She didn’t even have words for how it felt other than gosh…
Arvil kissed her gently, and God, did he like it. Kissing her heatedly, full of desperation quenched a little of his thirst, but this… having her lips mold into his perfectly, being able to taste her properly… it was driving him insane, and he never wanted to stop.
He had to thank the reporters for something. He had been desperate to kiss her, after all.
Daisy didn’t think she could ever get tired of this feeling, of his lips on hers, of them moving together slowly, softly. But they couldn’t keep doing this for too long. They were still in public, after all. And the reporter probably had what they needed, anyway.
So, reluctantly, she pulled away, lips still parted slightly and eyes still closed. “Okay… Sorry, but… in public…” she whispered, blinking her eyes open slowly.
Arvil took a few seconds to open his eyes, but he finally did to look at her beautiful features. He let go of her face, smiled softly and held her hand again. “We should do it when we’re alone,” he winked at her teasingly, trying to lighten the thick mood. “If you’re worried about the audience.”
The color on Daisy’s cheeks deepened. “Arvil…” she groaned, squeezing her eyes shut for a moment before opening then again so they could walk. “We’ll see.”
“C’mon,” Arvil tugged her into his side. “Let’s get popcorn and drinks and other snacks that you want.”
Daisy made a soft sound of surprise when she was pulled into Arvil’s side. She blinked up at him before being her attention back to the snacks. “I want the Butterfingers and a soda. And a medium popcorn. Unless you want to share, in which case we should get a large.”
Arvil’s fingers played with hers gently as he hummed. “All right. Just tell me whatever you want and you’ll get it,” he smiled down at her. When they reached the counter, he ordered what they needed and set a few dollars on it.
“So the seats that you got were top row, but which side? Left, right, or middle?” Daisy asked as they walked toward the theater the movie was in. She held her soda and candy in her hands, while Arvil had the large popcorn.
“Left,” Arvil responded as they began to climb up the stairs. “Seat twelve and thirteen. Section J.”
Daisy hummed and nodded. “Okay… You should see if the center is available next time,” she said as they reached their seats and sat down.
“I don’t make it a big deal,” Arvil shrugged. “Then again, I don’t go out to watch movies very often.”
“I mean, it’s not he end of the world to me, but I just prefer the top-middle seats,” Daisy said before popping a piece of popcorn into her mouth.
“Fair enough,” Arvil hummed, throwing an arm around her and leaning down until his head was on hers. “Now shh…”
Daisy rolled her eyes and took a sip of her drink. Unconsciously, she leaned over into him, though her head wasn’t quite on his shoulder. The movie started, and she couldn’t help but sing along with the songs.
Arvil smiled when he heard her soft voice fill his ears. She was certainly adorable, wasn’t she? His hold on her tightened a little, and in that moment, he wanted to push his hand into her hair.
So she was a Disney fan, so what? She’d grown up with the movies. They were her whole childhood. She didn’t sing loudly, just enough that she could hear herself.
