Keith spun around and followed Kenzie over to the piano, leaning against it and nodding along. He closed his eyes and bit his lip, smiling, letting the music course through him. He straightened and grabbed an electric guitar, accompanying her.
Kenzie smiled despite herself when she heard the guitar. Her fingers seamlessly made the transition from scales, to a simple melody. Once they'd gone on for a while, she switched to softer music and eventually let it trail away altogether.
Keith followed with a small smile, letting his hands once again take over. He played along, leaning against the piano, letting the sound vibrate up hisspine
Once the piece was over, Kenzie lifted her legs and folded them up, twisting to look over at him and tuck her legs beneath her. She used both hands to run her fingers through her hair and pull it all back behind her shoulders.
He glanced over his shoulder at her and nodded "That was amazing, and you said you haven't played much." he teased with a smile. he set his guitar down and grabbed his backpack. "What class do you have next?"
She hesitated to think for a minute. "An art class, Drawing 1, I think. What about you?"
"English Advance" He replied after having to think for a moment, "I think you're class is on my way, mind if I walk with you?"
Her eyes widened for a second. "No, that's fine." She stood, lifting her book bag over her shoulder and pulling her hair out from under the well-worn strap.
He smiled and grabbed his backpack, overflowing with books. "Thanks, so you're into art? like drawing and painting or more hands-on like sculpting?"
"Mostly sketching, sculpting isn't my strong suite. Everything I sculpt turns out looking like a melted pot pie. And I've never tried to sculpt food before." Kenzie lead the way out of the building, blinking when they got outside.
Keith pulled his hood over his head and laughed lightly "food? how'd that turn out for you?" he asked with a grin. "I've never tried to sculpt before, and I'm trash at drawing, music is mostly the only art I can do well."
"You do it very well." she walked alongside him, keeping pace despite being a little shorter. "What else do you besides music?"
"Thanks, you're amazing at the piano. uhm, I like culinary, but mostly the science behind it." He slowed a bit, seeing that she had to take long strides to keep up
"That's cool, I've never looked at food like that." She was able to shorten her stride, the pace easier. She fiddled with the strap of her bag absently, watching him cautiously. "Are you graduating this spring?"
He nodded "hopefully if I don't fail any classes." he glanced at her sideways "You? any other interests? hopes? dreams?"
Kenzie thought for a moment. "I'd like to get into photography. And traveling, for the photography. What about you, plans for life?" She kept watching him, waiting for a reply.
"definatly traveling, thinking of going to France." He blushed "I'm a huge romantic… It's kinda embarrassing…"
She turned to him with a bright grin. "That's really cool! Not embarrassing at all." She assured him sincerely.
(Bump it's me with a new account)
"thanks, usually when I tell people that, they get gushy about it." He scratched the back of his head nervously "thanks for not doing that."
Kenzie shot him a mischievous smile. "Don't worry. I'll save it for potential blackmail."
He threw his back and laughed "Thanks, I'll have to sleep with one eye open." He said with a smile.
Kenzie laughed, one hand going up and brushing her hair away from her eyes.
He glanced at her at smiled "would have never taken you as a blackmailer, your sneaky, I like it"
Kenzie looked down, hiding her smile. "Lots of siblings and cousins. Only way to stay in power was to have something to hold against them."
