Leah sighed and leaned over the side of the ship, watching the water lap against The Andromeda's wood planks.
"Evening, captain," Daso greeted, joining her by the side of the boat.
"Yeah."

"Hello, Daso." Leah said, looking over and brushing her hair behind her ears. "I heard from the crew that they wanted you singing tonight."
"I'm a songbird," he replied, grinning, "so I can more naturally sing than I can talk. And I talk a lot."
"A songbird. . . that's a new one." Leah smiled, turning back towards the water and watching the horizon.
He exhaled heavily. "Yep."
