Marcus raised an eyebrow.
"Is that not what is expected of her? Did she think it would not happen?" Marcus seemed confused. He looked up at Georgiana.
Marcus raised an eyebrow.
"Is that not what is expected of her? Did she think it would not happen?" Marcus seemed confused. He looked up at Georgiana.
Georgiana shook her head, "of course it was expected. That does not mean it is right. If I were forced to marry someone I never knew, I would be upset as well."
"I guess I don't understand." Marcus put his hand on the ground next to him, and pulled his glove off. His pale skin was in stark contrast to the ground around him.
"You wouldn't," Georgiana said simply, without thinking. Suddenly, she realized what she had said, and stuttered, "I - I mean, not that - I didn't mean - it's just - " she sighed, knowing she never had been and never would be able to talk to people.
Marcus gave a small laugh.
"Don't worry about it. Really, it's fine. It doesn't bother me when someone speaks the truth."
Riverpaw scooted further behind the corner, listening to their conversation. So Savannah was a princess, she was being forced to marry someone, she didn't want to, but it was expected of her? None of that sounded okay, and now she was much more worried for that girl.
(Is Riverpaw a wolf? Or a cat? I remember a bunch of rps with Riverpaw, so I don't remember, sorry.)
Georgiana suddenly noticed the animal next to her and jumped. She was terrified of all animals. They were unpredictable. Without meaning to, she stepped closer to Marcus.
(That's okay, she's a wolf. @Caustic_Fraust said she can be a shifter, though, so she's just in wolf form rn)
Marcus glanced up at Georgiana.
"Afraid of a wolf pup?" He pushed himself up, and he was now standing next to Georgiana.
"Um…" Georgiana noticed her voice getting higher, "no, I am perfectly all right, thank you very much."
Marcus kept himself from laughing. That would be rude.
"Don't worry ma'am! I'll protect you!" He struck a heroic pose, his armor glinting in the light. He had to keep himself from laughing again, and he winked at Georgiana.
Georgiana resisted the urge to giggle; she knew it would end up being high-pitched and unnatural. "I did say I was fine, but thank you for your…" she cleared her throat, attempting to sound professional, "efforts."
Marcus chuckled.
"Anything for a pretty lady."
Georgiana blushed. No one had ever told her she was pretty before.
“Thank you, sir.” Savannah sat down and folded her hands in her lap neatly, glancing about the restaurant. A few people were watching her, but she was pretty sure they didn’t recognize her. They just thought she was attractive. She felt a little self conscious about this, but she’d been taught to stand the staring.
Suddenly, a drunken man approached Savannah. “Hey, little lady.” He said in a slurred voice. “H-Hello, sir.” She said nervously. “How bout you and me head on over to my place?” Savannah’s heart was racing. “Uh… no thank you, but… t-thanks for the offer?” The man grabbed Savannah’s wrist and pulled her closer to himself. “I’m not taking no for an answer.” “Sir! P-Please… trust me, you don’t want to do this.” Savannah tried to free herself to no avail. They were causing a bit of a commotion now, and people were watching them.
Marcus smiled at her blush.
(o h n o)
Damian heard the commotion and walked over. He ripped Savannah from the drunken mans grip. "May I help you Sir?" Even though it might make her uncomfortable, but he kept her hand in his and made sure she was standing close. Damian was taller than most, so he towered over the man.
“Yeah. You can back off.” The man looked side to side for backup, but he had none. After a few moments he just muttered something under his breath and walked away, leaving Savannah and Damian. Savannah had mostly kept her composure, but her hands were noticeably shaking.
Marcus had looked up at the ruckus, but he didn't realize it was coming from where the princess was.
Riverpaw's ears tilted to the sounds of commotion from inside the building, but it was muffled. She stood up and went to the side of the building, jumping - with a bit of struggle - up onto a small window sill and searching for Savannah. She narrowed her eyes when she saw the girl, who looked nervous, as well as a man standing next to her and another man walking away from them. What happened?
Georgiana heard a yell from inside the building and immediately opened the door. Again, she was acting without thinking. She took Marcus by his wrist and hurried inside the building, in case the princess was in danger.
"Wha-? Where are we going?!" Marcus asked as Georgiana as she dragged him along.
"I… heard a yell…" Georgiana replied, looking around. As soon as she realized what she was doing, she removed her hand, but kept walking until she saw the princess.
Marcus followed suit. When he spotted the princess, he made a move as if to bow.
Damian moved to the side to give Savannah space. "You okay?" He asked as he set the bowl soup on the table. She was small, but Damian was impressed with how well she stood her ground.
"Princess!" Georgiana cried as she saw her. "Are you all right?"
"Yes, thank you…" Savannah smiled weakly. She glanced over at Damian with a nervous air, as well as the other customers. None of them knew she was the princess until now.
Damian's eyes were drawn to the loud voice, but as soon as he saw who she was looking at he followed her eyes. "Princess?" Was she really the Princess? The one he was supposed to marry. Now he really was in trouble. He was supposed to meet her a few weeks ago. How was he going to explain he was the Prince and looked like this. Wait, that's only if she does find out.
