Ethan lifyed his chin gently. "There's no way you could have known. Don't pin this onyourself. None of it is your fault."

He glanced up at him and smiled softly "I feel like I had some fault in it though."

Etjan tilted his head. "How coild this possibly be your fault?" He leaned in and kissed his nose.

He shrugged "I don't know, I feel like I should've seen it coming or seen some signs. Something, that told me she was acting strange."

"Its not your fault. You couldn't have known. So stop beating yourself up over it." Ethan said, cupoing his face.

He sighed, knowing full well that Ethan was right. "I know…but it feels better to beat yourself up about it stead of just accepting that she played me."

Ethan flicked his forehead. "Stop blaming yourself. It's not your fault." He said firmly

He sighed and nodded "ok….the waiter was totally checking you out by the way." He grinned, wanting to get off the topic

"I wouldn't know, I was focused on you." Ethan said with a smile, kissing his cheek

He smiled and leaned into him "I'm that distracting, huh?" he laughed softly and traced his chest with a light finger

Ethan grinned at him. "Yeah you are." He cooed. He took a sip of his drink

He rolled his eyes and kissed his cheek, slipping off him and settling next to him "Wheres the food?" he asked, noticing that it was taking a bit

Ethan pouted as he got off his laugh but settled with putting an arm around Raz. "It'll be here in a minute love. Calm your cute impatient butt." True to his word the food was brought over a few minutes later.

He smiled and nudged into him, glancing up as the food came in. "Yay, I'm starving."

Ethan chuckled. "Good, eat. You're so small." He kissed his head

He nodded and dug into the food "am not." he muttered through a mouthful of food. He moaned softly "this is so good!" he said, then proceeded to eat more

"Are too." Ethan squeezed his sides. "So small, you need to pit some meat kn your bones." He started to eat.

He squealed at the tickling "am not." he retorted back again, munching on the fries "I'm doing just fine. I may be small but I can beat the hell out a person…that's standing still, and not fighting back…and smaller than me…."

Ethan laughed. "Well its a good thing I'm here to protect you isnt?" He scooped Raz up and set him back in his lap. "There, right where you belong."

He nodded and laughed "Yeah, it is." He leaned into him while stealing one of Ethan's fries. "In all seriousness, this place is great. Thank you for bringing me." He kissed his cheek and nudged into his chest

Ethan hugged him to his chest. He pressed a soft kiss to his neck. "Of course. Anything for you." He kissed his cheek next.

He sighed in content and hugged his torso "Please, don't ever make that promise. Not to me or anyone. Don't promise to do anything above anything else just for me. One of these days you'll make the hard choice of choosing between the two, and I don't want to be the on who tears you in two."

Ethan tilted Raz's chin up to look him in the eye. "Is it so hard to believe that I would choose you above all else? You mean everything to me. I don't who hurt you before but I will necer hurt you or betray you."

His eyes softened as Ethan spoke " yes it is hard to believe, but not impossible. So many people. I've let so many people tear me apart. And they've said the same as you. That they'd never do anything that would hurt me. How can I know I'm not falling into the same trap as so many times before?" He searched in Ethans eyes, hoping to find some doubt, some regret, so that being let down would be easier

Ethan cupped his cheeks, stroking them gently with his thumb. "I know how hard it is for you to trust. I wish we could have met before you had your heart broken. But I promise you I will spend every minute of our time healing your heart and mendi g your trust in me. I promise you that. I promise I will never betray you. I will never break your trust in me. You will learn with time that its okay to lower your walls with me."

He sighed and could've cried. He nudged into him. "I hope to God you're right. I want this to work, I've never felt this way someone else other than you." He admitted softly, kissing his wrist

Ethan smiled. He gripped his chin and kissed his lips softly. "Let's finish eating and get back home yeah?"

He hummed a response and nodded "yeah, and you to work." He poked him lightly in the chest "no way are you missing work." Raz took another fry and munched on it

Ethan chuckled. "Of course I'm not. It's my only source of income." He kissed his cheek. "So hurry up and finish eating."

He laughed softly and took another bite of his food "my God, so impatient." He teased
