Arvil stared at her with an exasperated look on his face, but it wasn't like he was expecting anything different. His worry meant nothing to her. "Of course," he muttered under his breath. "Why would you even want to tell me?"

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy sighed heavily and shook her head. “Whatever, Arvil. Look, I don’t know what I did to upset you, but I didn’t mean to,” she declared, stepping back from his desk. “We should eat this before it gets cold.”

Arvil narrowed his eyes. What was her problem? Why was she acting like this? Wasn't she satisfied enough? "Right. I get it, all right?" he exhaled harshly. "I get the fact that everything between us is a lie, so you don't have to constantly remind me. I get it."

@Imperfect_Autumn group

“Everything is a lie… Right,” Daisy muttered, wrapping her arms around herself tightly. She turned away, still facing him but looking a different direction. “I seem to forget that more than I should. Sometimes it’s a little hard to remember, but I think I will after this. And I think I have, now, so thank you for that.”

Deleted user

Arvil was completely, utterly lost. What in the world did she mean by that? What did she mean by 'hard to remember' when she constantly slapped that fact in his face? Every time they were together… her body language, the way they talked… Arvil had no idea what was running through her mind. "Excuse me?" he raised an eyebrow at her again, this time with mild annoyance. "Mind telling me what on Earth I did to receive such bitter treatment?"

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy’s gaze shot back to him before she huffed and rolled her eyes, looking away again. “Yeah, like you don’t know… Oh, except you don’t, do you?”

Because you’re so painfully oblivious to the simplest of things.

"You know what?" Arvil breathed, finally getting tired of her attitude. What had he done this time? He kept his distance. He stopped the flirting. What did she want now? "I really don't understand you. Everything I do ends up bothering you, doesn't it? No matter what I do, you're never satisfied with it. And you never tell me what I did wrong so I can correct it."

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy flushed darkly, getting her teeth as she took a step around the desk, closer to him. “Yeah? Well, I don’t understand you, either, so I guess that works out, huh?” she nearly shouted, taking a deep breath to calm herself. It worked, but just barely. She only managed to lower her voice a little. “Gosh, I don’t understand why you’re still willing to marry me if you feel this way! I know I’m difficult, okay? But I’ve had my heart set in a marriage of love my whole life, not one of advantage. I had everything planned out. Everything. Colors, decor, music, guests, even a few tentative venues. And now… Now I’m marrying a man who doesn’t even love me just to get out of another marriage painfully similar to this. But at least you’re not trying to stifle me and stuff me in a box for the rest of my life…”

Deleted user

"I'm trying, all right?" Arvil took a deep breath through his gritted teeth, standing up from his seat to walk to the other side to Daisy. "I'm trying to give you a marriage that you'll enjoy! Do you think I want to see you unhappy? Well, newsflash, Daisy Riley, that's the one thing I'm trying to avoid. I'm trying with everything in my power to make you comfortable with the fact that you're marrying a man you know next to nothing about—a man you regard as a friend and nothing more. Everything I've done, it's to make sure you were comfortable. Constantly asking you about the wedding? That was me trying to give you a day you don't look back and regret. We may not be doing this out of love, darling, but I sure as hell don't want to put half the effort and look back and think of how upset you looked on this day! But you know what? Fine. Do what you want."

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy was near trembling at this point. Whether it was from anger, or because Arvil’s words had felt like a slap to the face, she didn’t know. All she knew was that his words hurt… And that was because he was so right. Why did he have to be so right all the time? It was infuriating.

“I hate you,” she breathed, her voice shaking as she glared up at him. “I hate you.”

I don’t hate you. I don’t. I’m sorry…

Deleted user

Arvil clenched his jaw, taking in a harsh breath. She hated him. Of course she did. He was taking away her freedom. He was locking her up. chaining her to his name, shackling her to the life of constant watching—the media. Why wouldn't she hate him?

It didn't make anything feel better, though. Having the girl you like to tell you she didn't just dislike you, but that she hated you…

Arvil let out a bitter laugh. "Do you, now?" he shook his head, running a hand through his hair. "Tell me something I don't know, love. For instance… if you hate me so much, why are you here? If you hate me like you claim you do, why the hell are you still here—with me?"

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy flinched at his words. He really thought she hated him… Of course he did. She had never given him any reason to believe she didn’t. She was always cold and harsh toward him, so why wouldn’t he think she hated him?

But why couldn’t she just tell him already? Why couldn’t she just tell him what she really felt? Why couldn’t she just say she liked him? That she didn’t really hate him? Why?

“Whatever, Arvil,” she muttered, stuffing her hands in her pockets and brushing past him to get to the door.

Deleted user

Arvil’s eyes flashed when she brushed past him to leave. Leave like she always did whenever this happened. Every time they clashed, she’d turn her back and leave. Arvil wasn’t going to allow that. Not this time.

So he quickly snatched her wrist—controlling his frustration so it was more of a gentle touch rather than a harsh one—and pressed her against the wall. He locked his burning eyes with her own, keeping her caged between himself and the wall.

“No, not this time, Daisy,” he breathed harshly. “I am not letting you leave before you tell me what in the freaking world did I do this time to deserve this cold treatment.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy gasped when she was pressed against the wall, staring up at him with lips parted in shock. Out of all the thins he had done, of all the things that had happened between them, she had not thought he would do this. They were in such a compromising position, and the way he was looking at her wasn’t helping. Yes, she was upset with him, but that didn’t make him any less attractive. Yes, he was upset with her, but that, if anything, just searched to make him look even hotter than before.

“You gave up on me,” she whispered hoarsely, meeting his gaze with her own. Whether it looked more broken or angry was difficult to say, but they were definitely both there.

Deleted user

It didn’t matter whether she was angry or happy, she never failed to look beautiful for him. When her eyes burned, it always felt like she was setting his soul on fire. And then her words… those words that she spoke lit a spark inside of him.

“I never gave up on you,” he rasped out, trying to keep his gaze from falling to her lips. How was it possible for her to hate him yet still keep a tight leash on him? “Goddamn it, how can I ever give up on you?

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy reached out and gripped his shirt for balance. Gosh, that voice… That stupid voice… Why did he have to sound just as hot as he looked? Especially when it got that low. He just made her weak in the knees.

“Then why did you stop trying to touch me?” she whispered, her own voice oddly calm at this question. “Every opportunity bat you had was passed by. Whenever you almost touched me, you moved away so that you wouldn’t. Is there something wrong with me that you suddenly can’t even touch me? Gosh, Arvil, do you even know how much that hurt?”

Deleted user

It took everything out of him not to growl at her action. If she didn’t want him to press his mouth on hers, she should stop. Push him away, because his control was snapping away like thread. He was going to lose it completely.

And then she was speaking and Arvil was speechless, to say the least. She was upset because he stopped touching her? What the hell was with that reason?

“Because you always looked and felt uncomfortable whenever I did so,” Arvil breathed with a shaky voice. “Do you know how hard it is to not touch you? Do you know how freaking hard it is to look at you and not want to reach out for you? Do you? Especially when you know the person you desperately want to hold does not want your arms around her? Do you have any idea how painful it is trying to hold myself back from kissing you right now? I swear to God, Daisy, I lose my mind every time you’re with me. Stop giving me mixed signals already.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy’s lips parted again in surprise at his words. He didn’t want to stop touching her? He… It was hard for him to stop touching her? He wanted to touch her… He missed touching her… What did that even mean?

“It doesn’t make me uncomfortable. Not lost of the time,” she sighed, tearing her gaze from his and staring down at the ground. “I’m just confused, Arvil. I don’t know how to deal with a lot of the things that are going on. It’s hard. All of it. Please don’t stop trying to touch me. And—“ Her gaze shot back upwards and met his again, her heart skipping at the burning in his eyes. Gosh, did she want him to kiss her… “I— Gosh, Arvil, you’re so fricking close right now, I can’t even think straight.”

Deleted user

“Let me kiss you,” Arvil rasped out, unable to hold it in. Especially not after the way she was looking at him—definitely not after what she’d just told him. She wanted him to keep close to her. Did that mean she didn’t hate him? Whatever it was, it only fueled his desire. “No—can I kiss you, Daisy? Because I can’t think straight right now and your mouth is the reason for that, and I need it.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy nodded without removing her gaze from his. That look of desire flared up, being hotter in his eyes, and it sent her insides into mush. Geez, why did he have to sound like that when he talked to her?

“Please. Yes, please, kiss me,” Daisy breathed, all but begging as her grip on his shirt tightened. “Please. Yes.”

Deleted user

That was all Arvil needed to press his mouth on hers, his eyes falling shut as he kissed her. A growl escaped his mouth at the way she had practically begged him. Warmth exploded through him when their lips made contact and Arvil swore sparks flew. He was washed with dizziness, but he could only think of one thing—Daisy pressed against him, his mouth on hers.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy’s other hand reached out to grab onto his shirt as she kissed him back. She went weak against him, pulling him closer with the hands she had on his shirt. She hadn’t realized how much she’d wanted him, nor how long she had…

Gosh, why did he have to affect her so much? Why did she crave him so badly? Every freaking time this happened, she just ended up wanting him more.

Deleted user

Arvil kissed her with uncontrolled hunger, mouth practically ravaging hers until he forced himself to contain it. Though he ended up pressing himself harder against her, the intensity of their kiss decreased. It was hard, but Arvil managed to do so.

He was kissing Daisy. After how many goddamn days of wanting to do so, he was pressed against her with her lips against his, molded together as if they were always meant to. His hand reached to rest on her waist, holding her tightly to himself as his mouth worked on hers.

“Do you—have any—idea—how much I—craved this?” He growled between each kiss, not wanting to pull away. Not wanting to ever pull away.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy let out a soft groan as he kissed her, his hand on her waist as he held her to himself. Her hands slipped up to his collar, grasping it tightly. She pressed her lips harder against his, wanting him to kiss her harder.

And then he was growling those words into her mouth, and she practically saw white.

“I know,” she gasped around kisses. “I’m sorry. I know.”

Deleted user

The more he kissed her, the faster he was slipping into insanity. This woman was driving him crazy. Why did he have to go and fall for her?

Arvil slowly took her bottom lip in his mouth, biting on it and tugging on it before he let go, giving Daisy a chance to push him away in case that step was too much for her.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy let out another soft sound when he took her lip in his teeth. She wanted this. How had she not realized how badly she had wanted this? How badly he had wanted this? She didn’t want him to pull away. Ever. Not until they were both gasping for breath and blue in the face.

Because that’s an attractive quality to have, a blue face.

She ignored her thoughts and kissed him again and again. She would let him do most anything to her at this point, just as long as he didn’t take it too far. If he tried, though she doubted he would, then she would just have to push him away. And she didn’t want to have to do that…

Deleted user

At this point, Arvil had completely lost himself to the woman pressed against him. From the sounds she was making—because of him—to her mouth, everything was pulling him under and Arvil was happy to drown.

Arvil pulled away with a gasp, eyes still fallen shut. He didn’t waste another second for breath before he pressed his mouth to her again, his time trailing a tongue across her lips, seeking permission to explore her mouth. After this, he wouldn’t be taking another step. There was no other step to take.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy parted her lips readily, eagerly. She wanted to taste him in her mouth, feel his tongue exploring. She wanted to kiss him for as long as possible, without interruptions. It seemed that they were always getting interrupted when they would kiss before. Would it happen again this time? Or would they finally get to finish when they were ready to?

Deleted user

Arvil instantly slipped his tongue in her mouth, her taste exploding on his tongue, shivers running through him. He had already thought this much. She tasted extraordinary. His grip on her waist tightened, and Arvil had a voice in the back of his head advise him to lock the door. He wanted no interruptions. He wanted to kiss Daisy until he was willing to let go himself.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Arvil,” Daisy groaned against his mouth. She shivered when his tongue passed her lips, exploring her mouth. She lifted her own to press it against his, touching his tongue with hers.
