@gracehustle

(Ok! Thanks!)
Nautia smiled back at him happily "Most of us speak English, though it varies greatly from region to region, and we do have a universal language as well."

@gracehustle

"A little, my voice sounds quite different up here than below water." She touched her throat and shrugged, "The easiest language to speak underwater is Mer language, our universal language, but speaking English works almost as well."

@gracehustle

"What about you? do other people with wings speak English? What's it like?" She asked, curious and eager to find out the answer.

@Norepinephrinxx

"We do have a language that we are taught but we only really spoke it to some of our parents and grandparents. Most of the other kids in my generation just chose to speak English to eachother." He answered "I don't know how it is in other tribes though."

@Norepinephrinxx

"Its not difficult to talk when flying unless ee are really high or sometimes theres a lot of wind that's difficult to hear over."

@gracehustle

"So it's just like talking when you're this close to the ground?" She felt like it was common sense, but she was curious, and she had never been up into the air any higher than she could jump or climb on the island.

@gracehustle

She smiled and rolled onto her side, facing him and letting her tail flick through the water, "Do people like you have any games they play or anything?"

@Norepinephrinxx

Keiran smiled and answered, eyes darting to the sky as he though. "Yeah me and the other kids from the village played all kinds of games when we were younger. Hide and seek, airball, cloud hunters, fall troll call, umm oh we would play chicken sometimes although the parents hated it because it was pretty dangerous." He chuckled lightly at the memory of being scolded if they were caught playing it.

@gracehustle

"What's chicken? The name doesn't sound dangerous," She asked, her smile growing when she saw he was reliving memories.

@Norepinephrinxx

"Well we would fly as high as we could and then drop, so we would just kind of free fall towards the ground and the last one to give up and start flying again lost." He explained

@Norepinephrinxx

"We didn't think that far ahead." He awkwardly laughed "nothing bad ever happened luckily, we would sometimes do it above the pond just in case but I can see now why the adults didn't want us playing that."

@gracehustle

"The adults were smart," She replied, smiling, "Sadly we didn't have any games that were as dangerous as that, even shark swimming was safe."

@Norepinephrinxx

"Yeah, we were kind of dumb kids but there wasn't much to do in the village so we had to get creative." He answered "Shark swimming? What's that?"

@gracehustle

She thought for a minute of how to explain it, "When we were little, we used to grab onto a great white shark's dorsal fin and let them whip us around. if we were flung off we lost the game."

@gracehustle

“They’re really not much more dangerous than jellyfish, you just have to be careful around them,” She replied, “They’re just protecting themselves.”

@gracehustle

Nautia nodded, “Are there any interesting animals on land or in the air besides the birds that fly over the water?”

@gracehustle

"Well, can you tell me about the ones you have seen or heard of?" She asked, smiling and hoping he would have some stories to tell about the animals on land.
