"The sky isn't as exciting as you think it is" He looked back over to her
"I doubt that, it sounds more interesting than the ocean.." She glanced at him and tilted her head sideways in curiosity, "What is flying through clouds like?" She asked suddenly
"Hm, it's hard to describe." He looked up to the sky and thought for a moment. "It doesn't feel like much, all you can see is white when your inside it. It feels very light and soft I guess like a non existent blanket of sorts."
She smiled at the image in her mind, wishing she could actually feel what flying through a cloud was like, "Do you ever see humans in their metal things in the sky when you fly?"
He nodded "I have, I try to avoid them as best I can. The clouds can actually be pretty helpful for hiding."
(I love how its 2 months later and we are like hell yeah let's go)
(XD yeah, also heads up, I won't be on at all today and part of tomorrow besides maybe one or two posts)
"They sound easier to hide from than the ones that come down in the water." She replied looking over at him and flicking her tail absentmindedly.
(Its all good, I wont be on much today since I have work anyway)
"There are ones the go into the water? I've only ever seen the boats on top of the water."
She nodded, “Big metal things, with explosives on them. They’re terrifying in comparison to the boats on top of the water.”
"Damn, that sounds awful." He answered trying to imagine the great metal beasts that roam under the surface.
"They aren't that bad if you see them in time to get away," She continued, looking at the water, "But if they sneak up on you, or a town… it never ends well.."
"I couldn't imagine it would" He answered looking over at her.
"What about the human things n the sky?" She asked, wanting to change the subject or at least the talk of the underwater machines.
"If they catch you it never really ends well, they have a lot of weapons depending on what kind of machine it is. Usually hiding works well enough but if there aren't any clouds theres not really anywhere to hide." Keiran explained looking up at the sky. "Luckily most of them are quite noisy so I've been able to fly to ground quick enough to hide."
She shook her head, "They sound scary, even worse than the ones in the water."
"Yeah, they can be pretty freaky." He answered sighing lightly
(Just fair warning I don't know how much I'll be on on Wednesday or the following days, I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed)
(Alrighty! I hope it isn't too bad!)
Nautia flicked her tail around and sighed, being so close to land made her want to use her legs instead of her fin but she decided not to. "So, tell me more about your world, and the sky, anything that is interesting."
(Thanks!)
"Theres not much else to say. It's usually windier up there than down here, everything on the ground looks tiny when I'm flying." Keiran stopped for a second "It reminds me how small the world really is."
She nodded, daydreaming about flying, "The world is so big though, there's so much land and air and everything else."
He smiled lightly "I guess your right. I've been travelling to see as much of it as I can."
"You've traveled farther than I have. What is the world like?" She asked, tilting her head to the side in question.
"Hm well every place is so different in nearly all aspects, different geology, different weather, different people, different language- well of course I haven't even seen all of the people and heard all of the language since I can't usually get close to people. There was one place I went to in Thailand, there was this religious tribe of people, Buddhists and they were these great big robes that were large enough to conceal my wings and I was able to actually interact with humans. None of them spoke English and I didn't speak their language but it was amazing to be able to be so close even just for a little while." He answered, smiling at the fond memory of the friends he had made.
Her eyes closed as he talked and she smiled, trying to imagine what it was like, "Wow… they sound amazing.."
"They were really kind people, I hope to go back someday."
"Why not go back as soon as your wing is healed?" She asked, her eyes opening slowly and her tail flicking around in the water again.
"Maybe I will, theres just so much of the world I haven't seen yet. I'm not too great at staying in one place I guess." He laughed lightly. "What about you? Have you ever thought about travelling the ocean?"
She nodded and smiled lightly, "Too many times to count, but it's too dangerous." Her smile faded for a moment before appearing again, "But hey, if I was traveling I couldn't of saved you."
Keiran laughed lightly "I suppose your right about that."
"So, it balanced out slightly. You've traveled places and remember them." She shrugged, "i'll just have to learn what the world is like without leaving the city."

Keiran smiled "I guess it works out then. What are other merpeople like? Do you speak English underwater too or a different language."
