AJ couldn't focus on factoring Quadratics. Finn was sitting right there. He decided he'd ask for help he didn't really need. "Hey, can you help with number 7? It's confusing to me. Like, I don't get how we're supposed to factor out the c term."
Finn looked io grinning ”sure, ” he said glancing down at the problem. He explained how to do it getting a little closer to the other boy than probably needed.
AJ was tomato red. "Okay, that makes sense. Thanks, Finn." Holy shit, Finn could probably smell my hair or something! he internally screamed.
"Its no problem," He said reluctantly sitting straight and farther away from the boy. He could smell his hair and he thought it smelt amazing. It was at that point that he regretted swearing off boys from this city. He knew it would be too messy trying to keep everything a secret but AJ was so cute. Plus Finn wasn't dumb he could see that AJ liked him.
AJ tried his best not to stare. He knew there was no way both of them would be done by the end of the period, there were 50 problems for god's sake, so they'd be meeting after school. More time to embarrass myself!
Finn Wasn’t paying attention to his work. His mind raced with reasons why he should and shouldn't just ask AJ out.
Bink. Bink. The bell droned over the loudspeaker. Mrs. Jones told them to finish the assignment for homework, and work with your partners. AJ wrote his phone number down and handed it to Finn. "Library, 3 PM. Here's my number, just in case."
”Ok see you then, ” Finn responded grabbing the paper. A grin was on his face. He had to talk to Willow about all this. (time jump?)
(time jump will happen tomorrow, i gotta go. gnite!)
AJ got into the library two minutes early. Finn wasn't there yet. He pulled out the book he was reading and enveloped himself in the story.
(Hey! I have a bit of bad news… I'm going to be leaving notebook for a while. From May 29th to about August 17th, we'll be gone. Over the summer break, we won't have anywhere to log in. I'm really, really sorry. I don't wanna leave this roleplay, I just figured I should let you know.)
(It's fine we can continue when you get back AJ. "Hey," he said as he sat down.
"Hey. You excited?" AJ asked sarcastically.
"Of course! Math is so fun," he said sarcastically. He was still grinning at the other boy. "I can only stay for an hour. Football practice." He whent to grab his math binder from his bag.
"Alright," AJ blush-smiled. "We'll have to get working then. I've got rehearsal in about an hour and a half, anyway. How far'd you get? I got about half my problems done thanks to study hall."
"I have about half too since I did some during lunch," He said pulling out his work.
"Ah, smart." AJ thought aloud. "Okay, but this is pretty easy. Why do you think she made it this long?"
Finn shrugged. ”Probably to torment us, ” He said laughing slightly at his own joke.
"That's fair. Wait, shit," AJ's phone rang. It was his little brother. "What do you need, Aaron? What? No, I can't. I'm working on homework. Call Aunt Liz or something." He hung up. "Sorry, my little brother needs a ride. I'm not getting him, he has the car, anyway. Wonder why he needs a ride."
”it's ok. We can face time later if you want,” Finn suggested standing up.
"Yeah, that'd work. But I can't give him a ride, anyway. I don't have the car. He does. So… let's just keep working."
Finn checked his phone for the time. He still had a while till practice. ”how far away is he? I could give you a ride, ” He suggested.
"No, it's really fine. I hate him, anyway." AJ smiled. "Let's work on the lesser of two evils, the math homework." AJ tried not to blush, but it was impossible. Finn just offered me a ride!!
(sksksksksksksksks ahhh adorables)
(agh i know! i love aj tbh)
“If your sure,” Finn said before looking back down at his math paper.
(bad news… today may very well be my last day on notebook till august depending on how the rest of the week falls. feel free to open this to someone else or continue it in your own writings. i'm so sorry!)
"I'm sure. I think that he called Aunt Beth. He should be fine. Anyways, did you figure out fifteen? It looks confusing."
(It's ok we can continue when you come back if you want. I won't be able to be on a whole lot this summer anyway)
”I did it but I'm bit sure if it's right. I'll have to check it later, ” Finn explained.
(oh well hello there pal)
"Okay. I think it's 3x(3x^2-4), but I'm not sure."
(Oh hey!)
Finn nodded “I think you’re right,” he admitted a small smile on his face.
