“Oh. Okay.” I slowly walked up to her. “Are you sure you’re not going to kill me?”
“Oh. Okay.” I slowly walked up to her. “Are you sure you’re not going to kill me?”
I shrugged. "We'll see how much you annoy me." I shot him a grin. "So, why here of all places?"
“Well, I hang out here a lot, and there’s a butch Latino here as well. So I came here.” I shrugged, “He’s one of the only people that doesn’t judge me for the whole…defect thing.” I gestured to my hair and arms.
"I think it looks kinda cool," I said. "I mean, at least you know what color your hair is." I pointed to my head. "Mine can't decide what color to be. Strawberry blonde, dirty blonde, white blonde, green."
“Thanks.” I smiled weakly. “Do you want some candy?”
I laughed. "Okay," I moved over to him.
I grabbed a Twix, opened it, and handed it to her, brushing her hand slightly. “We’re in a 7-11 on purge day, help yourself.”
I jumped slightly but excepted it. "Okay." I went to grab some more, but tripped over my own feet.
“Are you okay?” I reached out my hand and helped her up.
I grinned sheepishly at him. "I'm fine. I just can't stand on straight surfaces for long. I have the unique ability to trip on a perfectly smooth surface."
I grinned back. “Are you good at parkour, then?”
I laughed. "Absolutely."
I walked into a 7-11 to see two other people in there. I didn’t immediately attack them but was hesitant. The pistol I had was nearly out of ammo and I needed company. I sighed, walking to them.
I jerked my head towards the new person. My eyes narrowed, and I unconsciously stepped in front of Bridge. I gripped my knife harder.
I turned sharply to another person walking towards us, holding a gun.
“Pleasedontkillusimadefectseemyhairandarmsandshehasknives,” I squeaked.
I grabbed Kai’s arm and shook it lightly. “I’m, uh, a little nervous.”
I raised both of my hands.
“I am armed but I come in peace” I said to the person in front of me who was holding onto a knife.
I didn’t let go of Kai’s arm. “Hm. Welcome to the 7-11 and please don’t murder us.”
I raised an eyebrow. "Mmhmm." I grinned. "Well, welcome to 7-11." I flicked the blade shut and stuffed a few more in my bag before putting that one in my pocket. I flashed Bridge a smile. "You okay?"
“Murder someone? I just got followed by three maniacs and had to kill them on the street…” I said to them, uncertain that they will trust me or not.
“Eheh. Heh. Not good.” I ran my other hand that wasn’t gripping onto kai’s arm through my white hair.
I grinned, interested. "Who'd you kill? How old were they? Did they put up a fight?"
“Kai…” I hissed quietly.
“Ever heard the saying, Don’t bring a Knife to a Gun fight?” I started as I pulled out the pistol I had behind my back but didn’t aim it at the people. “Yeah…that situation just happened. Also I didn’t know how old they were but they were my neighbors, that’s all I know” I said calmly as I check how many magazines I have left.
I grinned. "That is weirdly cool." I sent Bridge a comforting smile. "Did you like your neighbors? Or are they like mine? Which is to say, boring, annoying, and smell too much like sage."
“They’re…not normal, I’ll say that much” I giggled a little as I said that.
I snorted. "No one here is normal." I shrugged before moving away, towards the lighters.
I slipped into a 7-11, I wanted a Slurpee, that was about it. There were others in there, but they hadn't noticed me yet. I still held my poison dart gun and my regular one, I liked using poison better.
I smiled back at Kai and eased, but didn’t let go of her arm. I popped my gum and ran my hand through my hair again nervously. “Uh, guys? I just heard the door ring…”
"I know," I said. "And it's probably another creep who wants to stuff themselves on Pringles."
