The viscount bowed once.
“The name’s Isaac Lacost, a viscount of the Labyrinth…” he introduced himself before turning back to the small library inside the angelic figure’s storage room.
The viscount bowed once.
“The name’s Isaac Lacost, a viscount of the Labyrinth…” he introduced himself before turning back to the small library inside the angelic figure’s storage room.
The cloaked figure who was beside Adara walked into the Arena and began watching what Tolkalee was doing to Hinata. Only the figure’s soft smile was visible.
Loki looked at Lychan "just so you know this may be your first and last visit to Heaven so be good"
Lychan nodded "I will jeez Mom" using mom tauntingly
The viscount laughed slightly.
“Okay… you guys can go ahead and explore the room, I’d rather just be watching” he claimed, walking out of the room and closed the door on the way out.
(Investigation time for Loki and Lychan!)
(Inside the room full of shelves and dusted books, some things stood out. A broken halo can be found on the furthest shelf. A pierced Knight’s helm was lying on the floor beside the pile of dusted books. A portrait of a person was on the wall but the person didn’t look like the owner of the room, rather it looked more like a demon. Some pieces of stained cloth were scattered across the floor. There was a table by the left wall of the room, on the table was a chess board. Beside the table was a cloth hanger and on it was an old cyan mage robe)
(Some of the items can be used to reveal three characters’ back story hint hint)
The cloaked figure turned back to Adara and ignored the other Knights. As he walked pass Adara, he whispered something. “Follow me… I want to show you something interesting…”
Loki checked out the chess board as Lycan checked out the helm and cloth
Hesitantly, she followed, though her hands heated slightly. She leaned away from him a bit, though.
The chessboard was relatively clean and was arranged, although some pieces of the board were missing. The King of the White, the Queen of the black and all the bishops were gone.
The helm was almost fully in contact except for the front of it which was pierced by something sharp and most likely exploded as it did as hinted by the black stains around the hole. The cloth were stained in some sort of green liquid, unsure of origin. The cloth looked old, persumably as old as this room.
After Tolkalee was done treating Hinata he seemed to glitch again. Appearing on the other side of the arena. His hands were on his head and he was clearly frustrated.
The cloaked figure pressed something on the panel and took both Adara and himself to… the Missing Floor of the Arena.
The Arena of that floor was messed up, having weapons, armors and accessories scattered everywhere. Things like tables, chairs, wardrobes and normal clothing were also around the place. The lighting was not that good but was good enough to see around the place.
"Where is this place?" Adara asked, awe in her voice.
Loki placed her hand on the board subconsciously
The cloaked figure turned his face slightly.
“We call this place as The Missing Floor of the Labyrinth. If you haven’t noticed yet, most of the Knights and Viscounts here don’t remember what happened during their lifetime… though there is a way to help them remember their life” the figure stopped there, turning directly to Adara.
“Now you might be wondering, why is any of that necessary… correct?”
"Yeah," Adara said, slightly worried now.
The chessboard shifted slightly as Loki touched it but didn’t fall over. Something was off about it… the Knight pieces on both sides started to move on their own, both sides were attempting to win against the other side without any of the other pieces moving.
loki gasped "w-what the…" removing her hand
“Let me ask you this first…” the cloaked figure raised his index finger.
“How interested are you in taking some of Knights… out of their misery here?” He asked with a chilling voice.
"Depends," Adara said, her voice equally cold. "Which ones. And why? Why all this?"
After sometime, only one of the Knight pieces remained on the board. The Knight was one of the black side. The Knight piece moved towards the white side and stood beside the Queen of the White piece. The black Knight piece turned slightly, revealing that on the side of it was an Hourglass Symbol.
The cloaked figure giggled slightly.
“By finding three pieces of information about each Knight or Viscount, you can bring them… back to life” he paused there for a moment.
“By back to life I mean that they’re able to keep all their abilities but will no longer be forced to live under the Master’s rules. The three pieces of information includes how they died, who they were and the sinful part of their story…” the figure explained.
"Okay…" Adara trailed off. Imagine the possibilities! Aisen, free… She shook her head to rid herself of those thoughts. "Who are you anyways?"She asked.
Loki's eyes widened when she saw it "That looks familiar. Hey Lychan did you get anything"
Lychan replied slowly "not yet" clearly showing he saw the pieces move as well he looked at the cloth and helmet picking them up "I wander what these used to be?"
The cloaked figure smiled softly.
“I don’t have a real name myself… but from what the records stated, they named me as The Lost Wanderer. Despite the slightly frightening name, my ‘duty’ is to help alive visitors… though not all the time as I choose my clients as well… I’m a little picky and I know that” the figure laughed a little.
"Then why help me?" She asked, genuinely confused.
The helm and the cloth got pulled towards each other from Lychan’s hands. When they touched each other, the helm returned to its initial form. The broken helm became a jade colored Knight’s helmet with small golden wings in place of the ear pieces.
"wow" Lychan was breathless "What is that?"
The Lost Wanderer stared upwards.
“Maybe because I owe someone you know something… quite… ‘life-changing’…” he claimed.
"What is that supposed to mean? Who?"
The newly formed Knight’s helmet had a small button next to the mouth piece and it seemed to be shining.
The Lost Wanderer sighed.
“Fine… I’ll accept it… Aisen saved my life, uh… twice” he claimed. “He’s an enjoyable person… that’s why I’m not surprised someone’s fallen for him and vice versa…” he added with a soft smile behind the shadows of the cloak.
