"It makes no sense to me," Adara said. "But honestly I don't care." She followed them into the place, gazing in awe at it.
"It makes no sense to me," Adara said. "But honestly I don't care." She followed them into the place, gazing in awe at it.
Hinata nodded.
"That was really smooth. Usually, when I travel through dimensions like this, there's usually some interference from the Ether."
"Well, your second answer was a lie, and half of your last answer was a lie. Because if I remember correctly, the Master controlled the labyrinth. And I know the other was a lie because you phlegmaticed your voice," Tolk decided after a bit of thought.
Aisen walked to Adara and subconsciously held her hand.
“Uh…let’s just say that it’s like teleportation but with limits. For example, if Place A is linked to Place B. You can only access Place B through the portal in Place A and vice versa. If you’re in Place C, you won’t be able to enter Place A nor Place B” he tried his best to simplify the concept.
Adara wrinkled her nose, but shrugged. "Doesn't make much sense, but then, I have no experience with portals," she nudged him slightly, "so I wouldn't know."
"Most standard issue devices nowadays are linked to pre-approved destinations." Hinata shrugged.
"Of course, this didn't come from the Dimensional Court."
The angelic figure sighed.
“You read through me. Fine…” he accepted. “I’ll tell you what the Prince really does…” he offered the thought.
“Listen, he’s the one who enhances all our abilities so that we would be able to protect him. He’s the one who makes deals with Heaven and Hell. He’s the one who makes decisions on whether or not a Knight or a Viscount have failed their duty and he would replace them. He’s also the one who makes the Paladins’ Missions for the Knights… although this is the last year he’ll be using that concept because of how aggressive the Knights were when they wanted to complete the mission” the figure corrected in an apologetic matter.
“The Master was the one who created this system here so the standard rules don’t apply to us…” he said, pressing another panel and they were all sent to another Arena like room. Inside, an amber colored cat and two foxes were playing there with another figure.
“Bingo…” he said faintly when he saw the figure.
"Did I mention that, having been around a crazy woman that made no sense and hid many things, taught me how to read people incredibly well," Tolkalee sounded almost emotionless. "If you are going to get in trouble for talking about it, tell me, I won't press."
Loki sighed "can you at least answer my questions?"
Hinata stepped forward.
The angelic figure slightly nodded and giggled a bit.
“Do me a favor and don’t tell anyone I told you that much about the Prince…” the figure requested nervously.
The royal figure in front of Loki raised a brow.
“Depends on what the questions are…”
The amber colored cat saw Hinata and ran towards her, jumping and landing on her head. The red spiritual fox flew to Adara and hugged her by the neck while the blue fox did the same thing to Aisen.
Hinata laughed.
"Good to see you too."
As the animals were doing that, a figure in a royal, green suit walked out from the shadows and went straight to Matthew. The new figure had one half of his body (more specifically his left side) covered with flowers, branches and tree roots. Matthew knelt down when he saw the figure.
Aisen, who was playing with the blue fox, saw the figure and let go of the blue fox. He then proceeded to walk towards the figure and knelt down as well.
“Greetings Lord Harkin” both the Knights stated out loud.
Hinata, being Hinata, kept an eye on this Lord Harkin, but all in all ignored him.
This new figure’s body was only half human it seems. He seems to be friendly towards Aisen and Matthew as when they knelt down, he smiled with some joy. He walked closer to the both of them and patted their heads. He looked up and noticed Hinata and Adara. He walked towards them.
Hinata looked up at his approach. She liked the way he has so far, but she knew things here weren't as they always appeared to be.
"Hello."
And another secret to keep, he thought, sighing internally. "Yeah no problem, I should probably get back now though," he decided, standing up slowly.
The Lord Harkin figure smiled at Hinata.
“Hello indeed” his voice was clear and was stable unlike other Knights or Viscounts. “Who may you be?” He asked Hinata.
The angelic figure nodded.
“Take Cronos with you on the way out, just press the button with the letter M on it. That’ll take back to the Royal Graveyard”
"I am Hinata Hayashi, Balance Keeper of the Multiverse." She tilted her head in a bow.
"I appreciate you having me, even if I had no clue you even wanted to talk with me," Tolkalee walked towards the door, subtly keeping still watching Miller. "See ya around," he said opening the door to leave.
The royal figure of Lord Harkin nodded but internally gasped.
“So you must be the one keeping everyone else in contact, right?” He wanted to confirm.
The angelic figure waved him a slight goodbye and went back up to the chandelier or somewhere upwards.
Hinata nodded. She was quite the sight at the moment, to say the least. Her hair was fuzzy and sticking out in odd places in her ponytail. Her jacket was slightly rumpled, and she had cat hair all over her. All in all, she looked like a mess. Not very intimidating or powerful at all.
Tolkalee went out to Cronos. "Hey you good?"
The Lord Harkin figure knew what she was thinking… somehow. He smiled ever so slightly.
“For your information, my human side sees what you are externally while my nature side sees what you are internally and spiritually” he explained.
Cronos slowly got up.
“I guess…”
"Welp. There goes my secret." On the inside, Hinata was literally a giant ball of energy that was slowly unwinding.
The royal figure laughed a little.
“I’m great keeping secrets, don’t worry”
Tolkalee helped Cronos stand up and steadied him. "Let's go," he said beginning to walk down the hall. Stopping a little ways down and looking back to make sure Cronos was following.
Hinata smiled.
"Thanks."
