The figure in the lab coat turned to the woman before walking out of the room with a relic that was on the counter.
The woman moved towards the place that the other… beings were.
Hinata sighed.
"We can't tell him nothing. We just can't." Hinata remembered trying to not tell Michi their parents hadn't made it. It only made it worst.
Chris and Cronos looked at each other.
“A perfect alibi? Aisen was going to have to travel to Heaven to complete a mission in the next two days, we can tell him that Aisen’s schedule was hurried and that he took Adara with him” Cronos suggested.
"You really think he'll fall for that?" The woman asked, coming into sight.
Hinata looked at the woman.
"And you are?"
Cronos and Chris both looked at the newcomer.
The woman hissed a laugh, beautiful face breaking into a wicked smirk. "Why, little one, I knew your parents."
"Mine? Highly doubt so."
"No? Ayashi and Michel? I thnk I do."
Hinata's eyebrow shot up.
"Well, I highly doubt you knew them before they died."
"No. I met them here," she said.
Hinata nodded.
"Makes sense." She shifted, and gently put her hand on Jonathan's shoulder.
Another figure walked into the room.
“Well well, looks like someone’s been around since my generation…” the figure was fully coated and had a mask on. “Right?” he turned his head to the woman.
She raised an eyebrow. "I've been here for over a century."
The figure took off his mask to reveal a familiar face to Cronos and Chris.
“Of course, if you know Michel and Ayashi, you should be around the same as when I was active…which was about a century and two decades ago…”
Hinata looked up.
"Okay, hey, I'm Ayashi's and Michel's daughter, mind explaining what's going on?"
The woman rolled her eyes. "Always the pride. This place is a shithole."
The figure laughed.
“If you’re a Knight, you’ll get used to it”
The woman snorted. "I've been here for almost two centuries, and this place is still awful."
The figure turned to Hinata.
“Oh, then this great” the figure started.
“I’m Jack Citrine, the host of Bright Shine, a Knight of the Second Generation and the person who helped your parents settle down in this place” he smiled at Hinata. “Also, they make amazing food, just saying…” he added.
"They don't make blood, though," the woman muttered quietly.
Hinata smiled.
"Yeah, no blood. They taught me everything I know when it comes to cooking."
The figure turned to the woman.
“Two Centuries? You’ve been here since the Phantoms weren’t even a thing?” he asked, confused as such a person was rare.
While everyone had been distracted Tolkalee had been moving around the room. He was staying silent and making slow movements toward Adara.
loki landed infront of the building and let the wisp guide her to Tolkalee "Hey"
"Yes," the woman said. "And I hate it here."
She suddenly jerked her head up. "Elf," she hissed. She darted away, faster than she should have been able to.
Jonathan started to wake up but was still not very active.
He placed a finger to his lips as he looked at Loki. Then he turned his attention back to what was going on in the room.
Jack smiled when the woman ran away.
“I guess I’ll take my leave too…” he bowed and disappeared in a flash.
