SG pointed to the corner, where the food table was set up.
"Over there." She made her way there, picking up a cheese slice.

Ravens yeeted herself over to the food table and stood there awkwardly, slowly decimating the chip supply.
Bryn leaned back against the table, vaguely confused as to why people did this for fun.
"Hey, at least it isn't like the winter dance my school had this year. It was during the school day, limited to the cafeteria only, and the food ran out in the first fifteen minutes," Ravens said with a sigh.
Bryn looked up quickly. "The food here had better last longer. This is my first school dance, are they usually this quiet?"
"No, the music's usually super-loud and you go like 10% more deaf during it. At least at my school. Thank god I'm leaving next year," Ravens replied.
Bryn nodded. "Let's hope there isn't any music. I'm good with just eating food and going home early."
"Mood."
"Yeah, pretty much. The food isn't bad, these little chicken nugget things are great."
This was too much social interaction for Ravens, so she excused herself to the bathroom. Good thing I brought my book, she thought.
Bryn waved goodbye absently, trying to decide if the chicken was worth it, or if she could try to find something healthier.
SG had piled a plate full of cheese slices and looked around.
"So, were's the DJ?"
Bryn glanced over. "No DJ. It's for the best, dancing would only be awkward."
"True." She carefully took a slice of cheese from her plate and ate it.
(Come on we have to make this more fun than the senior prom! Any ideas anyone?)
(Um…. not really.)
(I'm not really good at social interactions)
(Well then… We need a dj, maybe some dancing and sprinklers? I've never actually been to a prom, what do they do for fun…)
I can't handle this silence. I'm claiming DJ.
Bryn walked over to the music thing and sat down, clicking through stacks of music. "What do ya'll like to listen to?"
"Vocaloid…" SG shrugged.
"DID SOMEONE SAY VOCALOID???" NutElla exclaimed, finally emerging from the corner in which she had been hiding with her trusty bag of chips she stole from the snack bar-
"I did," SG said, waving a cheese slice in hello to NutElla.
"Ola." Lillian, better known as @FriendlyNeighborhoodWitch, walked into the auditorium. She stood for a moment before grabbing a breadstick and walking up to the microphone.
Bryn grinned at the girl by the microphone. "Better idea, karaoke night!"
Lillian grinned back.
"I have a couple songs up my sleeve. Wait here a minute." She dashed into the shadows and came back with an electric guitar. She strapped it around her emerald green dress and strummed a couple notes before breaking out into a beach-boys-ish tune.
"First I catch you listening to dubstep
Then the next day it’s clint eastwood
Not to be rude or anything
But I don’t think that the gorillaz are that good
Yes
I have knowledge in bands
I looked them all up last night just to talk about them with you
I spent 2 hours of my useful time
Being around you, listening to you,
I spent 2 hours of lending you dimes
So I could stay with you
Not quite a man
But got peacock blue hair
You look like you belong in a teenage band
Icy fair skin
But a warm, creased hand
Yeah you look like you belong in a teenage band
Always got the iPad and the airpods
The perfect mix of suburban and urban
Making paper stars and drawing dinosaurs
Just like the time you faked drinking bourburn
No
I don’t really like math, or geometry dash,
But I’m willing to give it a try just for you
I try to not waste my time
Because to some loving is wartime
I try not waste my time
But I wanna be with you full-time
Don’t know what the heck all these are
But I know they’re for you
Don’t remember making these valentine cards
But here - they’re for you
Don’t know what the hell all these are
But I sent them directly to you
Couldn’t put together all the shards
But I’ll still give them all to you
Don’t know, but I know, don’t know, but I know
Green lunchroom hustle and a rock band vibe, oh
Don’t know, but I know, don’t know, but I know
Aliens and science and lyrics and blue hair…"
(gotta find a way to share my songs somehow lol…that one's not even done)
"Woohoo!" Bryn bounced up and down, clapping enthusiastically.
"Thanks…" Lillian smiled shyly and looked up. "I have part of another if you want. Or we could all just eat food…your choice."
"Let's hear another! Between you and me, if we go back to eating food, we're going to waste the whole night. WHO HERE HAS GOOD DANCE MOVES?"
Lillian laughed. "This one's not quite finished. In fact it's only a couple verses. But I'll sing what I have." She strummed some more chords.
"Stop stop stop stop stop no I’d rather sing
Stop stop stop stop stop no I’d rather drink…
Chocolate milk and applesauce
I’m just a kid that’s having fun
I’ve got my gang
I’ve got my game
And we’re gonna go play
Legos minecraft and roblox
I’m just a kid that’s having fun
I’ve got my gang
I’ve got my game
And we’re gonna go play
I don’t need to hear about the colleges and jobs I need
The very thought of adult life is bringing me to knees
What is this sophisticated that everyone has to be
I just want to play outside, is that so bad for me?
Honestly
What is this talk of majors? I major in climbing trees
I’d rather be in a tent than getting a college degree…"
She stopped and looked up. "That's all for that one."
( i gotta go now byeee)
