SG busted out the Orange Justice.
(Byeee get a good night's sleep! (I'm just assuming that's why you're leaving but whatever why have fuuuun))
SG walked over to the DJ booth, slipping out a thumb drive. She put it in, and the Vocaloid song Ghost Rule blasted.
"That's some music!!!" Bryn grinned happily.
SG hummed along.
"Thanks!"
Bryn started bouncing in time to the music, swaying back and forth.
SG nodded her head to the beat.

The double doors of this joint slam open, letting in a gust of freezing rain and wind. A bedraggled, blond, nonbinary individual in a black suit with bits of straw stuck to it limps in from the darkness. Their name is Dusty, and they are….miserably late and honestly just checking to see if anyone's still here.
"Hello? Anybody home?"
The resounding silence answers Dusty's question well enough. They shrug and decide to grab something from the half-raided snack table before they head back out into the storm. Squelching across the floor, they kick off their ruined shoes and hop up to sit on the edge of the table, slapping together a small meal of crackers and punch. It would be a shame to let all this food go to waste.
After a while, Dusty finished eating and got up, wandering onto the dance floor with their glass of punch still in one hand. It sure was quiet in here with the music off and no one around. Even the sounds of thunder and rain outside were mostly muffled.
Dusty tapped their foot on the floor absently, then paused as they noticed what a nice echo the room had. This gave them an idea. Glancing around to make sure they really were alone, they started to quietly sing. Dusty loved to sing, but was too self-conscious to sing in front of others. Gently they experimented with different songs, soon forgetting all about their surroundings and focusing completely on the melody.
Janaya ran from the car to the door. she didn't want her dress to get soaked. She silently opened the door and heard someone singing inside.
Dusty's razor-sharp hearing kicked in a moment too late, and they realized someone had just come inside. Their singing cut off abruptly and they got slightly red in the face, glancing over sheepishly to see who it was.
Janaya half-heartedly waved at the other person as she moved over to the snack area. She had to pick up her dress so she wouldn't trip.
Dusty waved back, feeling a bit awkward. They decided it would be proper to go say hello, since they were the only people there.
"Hi," they said with a friendly smile, picking their way over. "You're late too, huh? I didn't expect anyone else to show up."
"Oof I guess we are. I'm a little shocked I'm usually the last one to show at school dances. Anyway, I'm Janaya," She greeted with a small smile. She grabbed a can of coke.
"I'm Dusty. It's nice to meet you, Janaya." Dusty set down their punch, which they didn't really like anyway, and began a leisurely search for some ordinary water. "I would have gotten here much sooner, but my uncle needed me and my mom and sister to help him clean up an old farm that just got sold. It's kind of an all-day thing and I was lucky to leave even as early as I did. Oh, well. It feels good to help him out." They sighed ruefully. "Sorry, I'm rambling, aren't I?"
"no, it's fine. we need something to do to pass the time. It's nice that you helped, him" She said before opening her can and taking a sip. "I think we are just early. More people should show up soon."
"Haha, maybe. You never know, right?" Dusty glanced around at the lonely dance floor. "Want to see if we can figure out some music at least?"
Bryn shook herself back to the present. "Music is a necessity. This is a party, we're supposed to have fun!"
Ravens came back from the bathroom she'd accidentally spent a day in. "Hey, I'm back," she said. "Sorry for disappearing on y'all there."
Lillian entered the room with her electric tenor guitar strapped onto her emerald green dress. "I, uh, finished both of the songs that I partly sang earlier."
"Oooh, cool!" Ravens said. "I'd love to hear them!"
"Thanks. I'll do 'Teenage Band Guy.'
verse 1
First I catch you listening to dubstep
Then the next day it’s clint eastwood
Not to be rude or anything
But I don’t think that the gorillaz are that good
verse 2
Yes
I have knowledge in bands
I looked them all up last night just to talk about them with you
pre-chorus
I spent 2 hours of my useful time
Being around you, listening to you,
I spent 2 hours of lending you dimes
So I could stay with you
chorus
Not quite a man
But got peacock blue hair
You look like you belong in a teenage band
Icy fair skin
But a warm, creased hand
Yeah you look like you belong in a teenage band
verse 3
Always got the iPad and the airpods
The perfect mix of suburban and urban
Making paper stars and drawing dinosaurs
Just like the time you faked drinking bourburn
verse 4
No
I don’t really like math, or geometry dash,
But I’m willing to give it a try just for you
pre-chorus
I try to not waste my time
Because to some loving is wartime
I try not waste my time
But I wanna be with you full-time
chorus
Loud and laughing and bold
Your existence is a dare
You look like you belong in a teenage band
Bright gray-blue eyes
You make me wanna stare
Yeah you look like you belong in a teenage band
bridge
Don’t know what the heck all these are
But I know they’re for you
Don’t remember making these valentine cards
But here - they’re for you
Don’t know what the hell all these are
But I sent them directly to you
Couldn’t put together all the shards
But I’ll still give them all to you
(Don’t know, but I know, don’t know, but I know
Green lunchroom hustle and a rock band vibe, oh
Don’t know, but I know, don’t know, but I know
Aliens and science and lyrics and blue hair)
chorus
You love to drink Kool-Aid
And you love to care
You look like you belong in a teenage band
Still just a kid
But dang you’ve got some flair
Yeah you look like you belong in a teenage band!"
She finished with a flourish.
