forum What type of female characters would you like to see more of in a story?

I have an assassin, but she's kinda sorta crazy so yeah no seducing for her.

there was this tumblr post that went something like:

a writer: she's an assassin and she kills her victims by seducing men and-
me, already asleep:

a writer: she seduces the wives of the men and convinces them to murder their husbands
me, immediately awake: continue

and i honestly would Love that

this is honestly the best thing ever

one's that actually have personality
seeing all these bland, "strong" women characters is getting old

in my personal opinion i am So Tired of the Amazing Assassin Woman thing. like yea ok u can fight and i love that, but you're also impossibly attractive and you inevitably end up with a handsome love interest and have scars in strategically attractive places and have oddly convenient talents? fuck off w that

(I'm assuming it would, by the time we meet her she's so underweight she isn't getting her monthly cycle so she must be very skinny. However in ACOFAS, Nesta is underweight because of her PTSD and a character goes out of his way to describe how she's super skinny, but still has big boobs and a big butt, so….yeah….)

They are. Different series, but still the basic laws of bio should apply.

Throne of Glass, yeah.

I kinda liked that story, it was pretty nice (i was never interested in the MC as much as i was into the plot, so i never noticed the tropes and flaws)

Oof where to begin…..

Well, I'd like to see more female characters be, the following.

Big eaters
Gruff Personality
Gentle Giant
Condescending
Crude and or dark humour
The funny one ( This one in particular! Its always the guy that's the joker)

In terms of female characters as a whole, I would LOVE to see some more Diverse female characters in terms of nationality. I can not tell you how many books I read that have your stereotypical white girl who's awkward but at the same time pretty. I mean it depends on what world your creating, but like were's the gentle African Girls or the Strong and muscular Asian chicks.

And one more thing, especially if your main character is a dude

DON'T MAKE YOUR FEMALE CHARACTER'S EXISTENCE PURELY ON ROMANCE!!!
