Wila woke up from her long night in the forest and made her way back to the tents. She made her way to her room and changed into her normal clothing, finding it remotely weird that it was so silent "ooookkkk….guys? Yoo-hoo? Anyone here?" She called down the halls
Wila's calls woke Tam. Yawning, he sat up on his cot, his gaze immediately crossing the room to Aza's empty one.
Automatically apprehension blossomed in his chest— he'd seen this before.
But, refusing to assume the worst, he jumped down and met Wila in the hall, still trying to dispel the worry.
"Good morning. Have you seen Aza?"
She shook her head "I just got back, I haven't seen anyone leave or enter. Thought she was with you." She answered, clearly worried
"I– no. She's not." Tam inhaled slowly quickly glancing up and down the hall. "And Beaux?"
"hm, haven't seen her either…I don't like this." She muttered to herself, glancing about frantically "harrow?" She asked "maybe he has something to do with this…"
He chewed on his lower lip, more and more anxious. "Okay. Think rationally," he assured Wila, half to himself. "They could have already gone to training, or to eat." He paused, mulling over their options. "Right?"
"your asking the wrong person to think rationally Tam, but just to entertain you, first off, who's awake at this hour? Secondly, who do you know to eat that quietly?"
Don't do it. Don't admit. Don't let it be true.
"No one," he muttered, heart twisting in worry behind his ribcage. This was much too familiar.
"Wila…" he started. The guilt came rushing back, waltzing into his mind along with the memories he'd long since pushed away. He bit his lip, shaking his head to get rid of poisonous thoughts.
"yeah?" She asked "what's wrong yam?" She checked in on the empty rooms of fellow performers and sighed, not finding anyone
Tam steadied himself and momentarily pushed down whatever pain he'd have to face later on. He needed to stay calm as of right now.
"Wila, you're not going to find them here. They're probably already gone."
He tugged Wila into the room and shut the door.
"I've been here 10 years, soon to be eleven," he started carefully. "I was here before the Circus was the Circus."
She watched him "Tam, what do you mean…this has always been a circus…and what do you mean everyone is gone? did they leave without us or something? maybe they'll come back." she said hopefully "maybe they'll notice that we aren't there and come back for us?"
Tam shook his head. He hated telling her this…
"If they're gone… It wasn't by choice." He paused a moment for this to sink in. "Did you know Harrow is a scientist?" he asked her, gauging her reaction.
The realization hit her with horror "no..nononononononononononononono…he can't. He won't he may be a lot of things but he wouldn't do that to them…they won't let him…" She slumped to the ground and curled up in the corner, repeating random words
"There's no one to stop him," Tam explained quietly, voice laden with regret. "This isn't the first time this has happened near me, you know. He tries to enhance our natural talents."
Tam sighed heavily, thinking back to every time this had happened.
Aza woke up, groggy, bound to a metal hospital bed. She squirmed, attempting to free herself to no avail. She looked around, realising she was in a dimly lit room, a one-way window at the end of it. She stopped struggling and wiggled her fingers. Her gloves were still on. She'd just have to wait it out.
Westan sat in a cell, his knees curled up to his chest. He cried softly, singing too. His brown hair was stringy and mousy, his eyes shining dully with tears. His voice sounded husky, which most women would have found unduly attractive, but it caused him pain. His once beautiful voice was now reduced to a shell of what it once was.
Harrow stood on the other side of the window, staring into the cell. He pressed a button and a shallow click echoed.
The communications were open. "How are you feeling?" he asked with false kindness.
Aza wiggled her legs, the feeling seeping back into them. "Shut up, asshole."
A dry smile stretched Harrow's lined face. "That's what I thought."
Another button was pressed and a weak electric shock shot from Aza's shackles and up her arms. "Just a reminder. I have the power."
Aza blinked, the electricity sending a little jolt down her spine. What Harrow didn't know was the gloves were on, reversing the electrical poles, dulling the pain. She cried out, just to give Harrow a little satisfaction.
"Enhance our abilities? Please…. We don't need enhancement, what we need is to find them." She dried her tears that she only now realized had been falling and stood "Do you know where he keeps them?"

Tam shook his head. "All I know is that it's this building, but another floor. I'd guess underground."
He was terrified at Wila's sudden resolve, but she was right. There was no burying his head in the sand now.
(we should just wait for Illy)
Just a quick run through of the current situation doesn't get confusing!
Two parallel plot lines-
- Tam, Wila, Beaux at the Circus, planning to escape and find Aza and Harrow's labs.
- Aza, Harrow, Westan, Finn. Two kids (Finn, Westan) that are being experimented on and are just trying to survive. Until Aza gets there and there's hope!
(Sorry I'm back. So What's happened?)
(Aza got kidnapped by Harrow and he plans to experiment on her. Two characters have also been introduced)
(Okay.)
Beaux woke up to the sun on her face. This is some of best sleep shes ever had. Standing she stretched to loosen up and then walked inside. "Hello, anyone awake?"
Tam jumped to his feet. "Beaux?" he called, not believing his ears.
"Yes, who else would I be?" She turned a corner and Saw Tam and Willa. "Shouldn't you be in practice?" It was late and she knew she was going to get in trouble for being late.
Wila jumped a bit at their new arrival "ah yes, we should. How late are we?" She ask, trying to find an excuse
Aza blinked, the electricity sending a little jolt down her spine. What Harrow didn't know was the gloves were on, reversing the electrical poles, dulling the pain. She cried out, just to give Harrow a little satisfaction.
(sorry)
Harrow studied Aza a moment. Pulling out a thin steel card, he swiped a slot by the door and it popped open with a quiet hiss.
He walked into the cell, sliding the card back into a zipped pocket inside the lab coat he wore.
He approached the cot, keeping his face expressionless.
