Finn sat with his back leaning against the cold wall behind him. His stomach grumbled at him impatiently but he ignored it, knowing that the more he thought about wanting food, the hungrier he would get. Besides, Finn didn't want to worry Westan by complaining about his hunger.
"Things I want to say?" Aza spat, extremely angry now. "You have no idea. But I'll keep my mouth shut, I think. I'll spare you, Harrow."
"Very well." He reached into a metal drawer beneath the cot and pulled out a pair of scissors– he realised knew only of one thing this girl was truly protective of.
He bent over the cot and snipped the thin elastic of her gloves, which he then thought would come off easily. They didn't.
It took a lot of tugging but he managed to get them both off.
He tucked them into another inside pocket.
He then pulled out a thin syringe full of a clear liquid.
"Relax and it won't hurt," he told Aza, cleaning the tip of the tool.
"Hm… no reason." Beaux turned to Tam and gave him a smile. "I'm just curious." She did a back bend, but made sure to keep her eyes on Naomi.
Naomi hadn't moved for a while, sitting still on the floor.
Carefully, quietly, Tam walked over to Wila. He'd made up his mind, now full of worry for Aza. He couldn't let it be too late for her. "We have to leave this place," he whispered to Wila.

Aza shrieked when Harrow took her gloves. As he leaned over her, she wrenched her body off the hospital bed, slamming her forehead into Harrow's nose.
Harrow fell backwards, just barely catching himself on the wall. He clutched his clearly broken nose.
"Wow. Unexpected," he groaned. With a brutal flick he set his nose with a painful crack. (idk if this is medically correct sorry)
Shaking off the incident, he wiped some blood off of his face and, in one lightning quick movement, slammed the syringe he'd picked up from the ground into Aza's neck, his free arm pushing Aza's stomach.
"See you later," he grinned through the blood still trickling down his face.
Aza shrieked again. Her mind slipped into darkness.
Harrow set the syringe down with a satisfied sigh. Undoing the girl's shackles, he slung Aza over his shoulder and exited the cell, checking the locks behind him.
He walked into a dimly lit corridor and pushed open one of the steel doors leading off of it.
In it stood a row of cells. "Good afternoon, boys," he called lazily to Finn and Westan. "I brought a friend," he said with a sincere grin. He dumped Aza into a cell next to Finn's and locked it.
"I'll let you all introduce yourselves?"
And with that, the door shut again.
As soon as Harrow left, Finn made his way to the cell bars that divided the new girl from him. She was too far away for Finn to reach her, so instead he decided to call out to her quietly. "Hello?" He said softly, squinting to see if the girl responded.
Aza awoke groggily. "Who are you?" she said, noticing Finn. She looked at the lock on the cell, then down at her hands. She screamed when she realized that her gloves were gone.
Finn flinched slightly at the girl's scream. "Hey, don't worry. It'll be alright." He told her as calmly as he could, smiling so she knew he was friendly. "My name is Finn. What's your name?"
(Honestly I'm not sure what to do with Beaux.)
(I know I'm sorry, I'm going to get Tam to tell her what's happened and then they'll escape. I just need Wila's opinion on the plan. I'm really sorry I've got little to no organisation skills)
"They're gone." Her hands shook. "Harrow took them." She clenched her fingers, hands balling into fists.
"Who? Who did he take from you?" Finn asked as politely as he could before shaking his head. "Wait, don't answer that. It's not important. I'll help you get them back."
"My gloves. I could get us out of here." She looked up at Finn, then to the ragged boy behind him. "Is that-Is that Westan?" she said in shock.
Finn turned around to glance at the other boy before turning back to the new girl. "It is. Do you two know each other?" He decided to move on from the glove conversation. After all, how could gloves help them escape?
Westan stirred in his fitful sleep, hearing a familiar voice call his name. "Westan?" she called. The voice echoed, like it was traveling down a mountain.
"Yes. He's my-He's my cousin."
"Your…cousin?" He didn't know how to react. Finn had always assumed that Westan was like him; he didn't have any family left. He shook the thought out of his head, then turned back to Westan and smiled warmly at him. "I'm sure he'd be happy to know you're here. Family is valuable in places like this." He said this, but didn't go to wake Westan up. The boy needed sleep.
"I know he'd like to know I'm here. I'm not going to wake him though." She listened to Westan's quiet snores.
Finn nodded in agreement. "So you know both of our names, but I don't know yours." He stated, facing the girl once again. "Would you mind telling it to me?"
He smiled warmly at her. "Well it's nice to meet you, Azalane." A singular question kept trying to make it's way out of his mouth, but Finn refused to ask it. If she wanted to tell him, she would.
"You look confused. You okay?" Aza cocked her head, dark hair falling to one side.
"Always." Finn responded casually, his leg twitching slightly. "I'm just contemplating a few things. Nothing you should worry about."
Wila hung upside down from her hoop. She flipped a few times, keeping an eye on Naomi. she glanced down at Tam and nodded "What about Naomi? and Beaux, She'll get worried if we leave. And we can't leave her here alone. We'll have to take her along and fill her in as we go."
Aza snorted. "I have nothing else to do but worry." She raked a clawed hand through her hand. "What is it? Does it involve Westan? Please tell me."
"I was just wondering if…he's done anything to you. Harrow, I mean." Finn made sure he was as vague as possible. If Harrow hadn't experimented on Azalane, he didn't want her to worry about it.
"All I know is he injected me with this clear serum stuff," she said and shrugged.
Finn nodded, releasing a breath he hadn't realized that he'd been holding. "Good. Let's hope that's all he ever does to you."
Tam gave Wila a sidelong glance. "You didn't tell Beaux about Aza."
He didn't pose it as a question, but knew Wila would understand.
