He looked out the window, fidgeting in excitement.
He looked out the window, fidgeting in excitement.
((Friggin' coolio my dude!))
Skye watched as nightfall came, now filled with anticipation.
(Thanks!)
Micheal practically jumped up once night fell, grinning. "Ruby! Do you have the spray paint?"
Skye watched curiously, figuring that it was just petty mischief and vandalism by now.
A girl nodded, holding up a book bag. "And no one's on the corner of Maple and First!" She said, grinning.
Micheal grinned. "Finally! We can pull off the grand plan!"
Skye raised an eyebrow, but said nithing, figuring he'd tag along anyway.
They started filing back out, talking loudly and joking. Micheal hung back, turning to look at the other. "Ya coming, Wolfheart?
Skye smirked, "Obviously." He said, getting up to join them.
(Also, quick plot twist, Wolfheart is Skye's actual last name, so maybe Micheal finds out when a substitute teacher calls role?)
He smiled, holding the door open.
((Sure!))
Skye slipped outside into the night air, resisting the urge to flip back his hood, knowing Micheal would recognize him.
He walked after him, lighting another cigarette.
((I know I'm having him smoke a lot right now, but the only reason is because he can't do it in school without risking his "good kid" image, so by night the craving is driving him crazy so he smokes a lot to relieve it for a bit.))
(Skye is gonna break him of that habit.)
Skye resisted the urge to swat the cigarette out of the other's hand, but kept still, dropping back to study him more closly.
((That is gonna be really cute awwww))
He was actually pretty quiet compared to the rest of the group. He had stuck one of his drumsticks in between his belt and pants, but kept one tight in his hand.
((It's his wand is what I'm trying to hint at))
Skye noticed how the drumstick he kept in his hand was carved with runes. Some of which he recognized. A type of magic? he thought.
He hummed to himself, looking around. "Hey, Wolfheart, you know how to spot a plainclothes cop?"
"I live on the streets." He said flatly. "I live for avoiding cops.:
"Oh." He said flatly, not knowing how to respond to that.
Skye huffed. "Not every day you meet a street rat huh?" He said, "well don't be too surprised. There are more of us than you think."
"I know, I know, half the other kids are too, I just never know how to respond to that." He admitted, biting his lip. "Sorry."
"Don't be." Said Skye. "Just do us all a favour and don't take what you have for granted. Ever."
He nodded. "I know." He pulled his jacket closer around him. "Kinda cold out, isn't it?"
"Try winter." Sajd Skye, chuckling.
He smiled. "Yeah, I know, but still, unusually cold for this time of year."
Skye shrugged. "Doesn't bug me." He said.
He smiled. "Alright, tough guy." He said, nudging him.
Skye nudged him right back as they reached the right street corner.
