"Uhm… I was watching you down in the crowds…." he said sheepishly. "It's easier than trying to fight them… uhm…" Skye was suddenly grateful for his dark skin which hid most of the blush. "I swear I'm no more a stalker than they are…"
"Uhm… I was watching you down in the crowds…." he said sheepishly. "It's easier than trying to fight them… uhm…" Skye was suddenly grateful for his dark skin which hid most of the blush. "I swear I'm no more a stalker than they are…"
Logan smile and sighed. "I take it you're a fan, then. And it's alright. Kinda smart to stay up here rather than fight. The crowd can be…much…" he trailed off. Logan looked back out the city lights. "It's quiet up here though. I just needed to take a breather, ya know?" he stopped himself. He was almost rambling again. You haven't even asked for this person's name. "What's your name?"
"Skye…" he said quietly, somehow managing to regain his cool. "My name's Skye Wolfheart.." he said, getting to his feet. "And I don't blame you, I couldn't imagine being constantly bombarded by fans.."
Logan chuckled. "Yeah. Logan Myers. Although you probably knew that already." He glanced at Skye, noticing his striking violet eyes twinkling in the moonlight. He hadn't seen it earlier but this guy was admittedly cute. He mentally bashed himself. You can't just find every fan cute. You're never gonna see them again.
"Yeah… I'd like to think I'm your biggest fan.." he said, Why is he so handsome??? he thought. And why am I blushing??? "Uhm… I know I'm probably tresspassing, so… Imma just…" he sighed and headed for the edge of the roof, meaning to head down the fire escape.
Logan got up. "No no. Stay. I could use the company."" he cracked another smile. "Well how'd you find my music?" Logan wanted to talk to Skye. He liked talking to his fans, but with the rush of everything, there was hardly ever time for a proper conversation.
"Believe it or not I snuck up to hide in the rafters of a stadium during one of your concerts…" said Skye, laughing sheepishly. "It was more or less an accident, but I've loved your style ever since.."
Logan thought for a bit. "Why did you need to hide in the rafters?" he asked. He hoped it wasn't too much of an invasive question, but it definitely peaked his interest.
Skye sighed. "Just.. I needed a spot to hide from some very nasty people…" he said. "Which is almost always the case."
Logan's interest was definitely piqued. "Nasty people?" A thought occurred to him. Is Skye a criminal? But he didn't want to ask because it was rude.
"Yeah…" said Skye, "And before you get the wrong idea I'm not a criminal…" he said. "The worst I've ever done is beat up street thugs for picking on homeless kids, and occasional petty theft…. nothing serious.."
"Oh." Logan wasn't entirely sure what to say. "So, you're on the streets?" he wondered aloud. Why am I so awkward?? It's just another cute fan! he scolded himself.
"Yeah.." said Skye, "Have been since I was a kid.." helooked up at the other, hoping he wouldn't go pitying him like everyone else.
"Wow… That must've been hard." Logan looked at Skye. "You must be really strong if you've been on the streets for that long." He meant it and he made sure that Skye knew it. He already admired Skye and his admiration made it easy for him to talk to him. "I could use some strength right now." Logan laughed to ease some tension in himself.
Skye laughed, "All it really takes is a will to live.." he said, "It's not as hard as you think."
(Bloop?)
Logan looked over at Skye again before turning to the lights and pointing. "I get overwhelmed way too easily. Especially for a new pop star." He ran his hands through his hair nervously. "But anyway, tell me about yourself. It feels like it's been forever since I properly talked to someone."
"There's really not much to tell" said Skye sheepishly. Actually there really isn't much I can tell you…
"No way. Everyone has some story!" Logan said. And you did just say you've been on the streets since you were a kid. "Obviously, you don't have to tell me anything personal but there's gotta be something you can tell me about yourself. Like your favorites?" Logan smiled. It really had been a while since someone spoke to him as a human rather than an idol/star.
Skye shrugged, "Never really had time for favourites.." he said quietly, "I do like to read and listen to music when I get the chance… but I'm usually to busy trying to survive and help others survive…"
Logan thought for a second. "No family? Friends?"
"I've got a few friends, no one too close though…" he said. "But last I checked I'm an orphan."
Logan couldn't help but feel a little sympathy. "Oh…" He wasn't sure what exact;y to say. "I'm sorry." he offered. There wasn't a ton for him to say. He hopped up. "But in that case, you get to be my friend!" He smiled. The last time he actually was able to hang out with his old friends, he'd been bombarded by more fans. He appreciated the fans, of course, but it made private moments less private.
Skye's eyes brightened, "this day just keeps getting better…" he said quietly.
Logan laughed. "Well then. What happens next? Do you want to come inside?" He offered. He was still cold, but it was such a nice view on the roof.
Skye looked away shyly, "Uhm.. Sure?" He said, a bit hesitant to accept the invitation.
"Well- you don't have to, of course. It's just a little cold out here. And I can make hot chocolate or tea or coffee or I don't know." he rambled for a second, slightly embarrassed. Pull yourself together!
Skye never minded the cold, but his eyes brightened at the mention of hot chocolate. AKA A very rare delicacy.
Logan looked at Skye. "Well…? In or out?" He didn't want to seem pushy and he noticed Skye perk up at the mention of hot chocolate.
"Uhm… I think I'd do almost anything for hot chocolate " he said, chufkling sheepishly, taking a step forward, ready to follow him inside.
