Tired, Stressed, Exhausted, and dealing with a little bit of self hate cause my ADHD has been acting up and working against me.

@The-Magician group

Okay I'd like to know what people think about this.
We have a girl, a very confused girl, a very confused and emotional autistic girl. This girl also has depression, insomnia, and social phobia (which I've been told is different to social anxiety). There are people who want to give this girl group counselling for anxiety.

  1. Do you think the group counselling would be effective, and why?

Personally I don't think it will help. Since the girl has autism she is already very nervous in social situations, even without the phobia, however with the phobia she is more likely to freak out, push everyone away, or keep everything bottled up.

What do you think?

I don't think that would help, simply having a good idea of the difference between anxiety and Phobia, and a knowledge of Autism and the spectrum it has, I highly doubt that would help. Besides, I don't think group counselling would be a good idea anyway, since it can be hard for some autistic kids/people to deal with lots of other people in a new situation.
I only say that cause my younger sister is autistic, and I've seen how she acts and reacts in new situations. I realize not every kid is the same, especially since my sister is more extroverted, but still.
