Tam knelt down next to Beaux. "You good?" he asked quietly extending a hand to help her up.
Tam knelt down next to Beaux. "You good?" he asked quietly extending a hand to help her up.
Beaux just laughed as she wiped the blood from her cheek. "I'm going to kill him!" She took her hair down and looked around to see eyes on her. "Fuck training, I'm going for a run." As she walked out she grabbed a plate and smashed it on the ground. It made her feel a bit better. There was one thing she was never going to do, and that was show fear, she didn't really have any to show anyway. Right before she exited she turned to face Tam. Her fave softened as a real smile appeared. "Thanks Tam." After that she walked out and went outside for a run.
Tam sighed loudly, running a shaking hand through his hair. He schooled his features into a blank expression and, standing up, turned to face Wila. "What do you want to do then?" he asked somberly.
Putting her hair back up, she breathed in fresh air, or as fresh as the air is right now. It was better than being inside, she felt like she was suffocating. Everytime she was outside she thought of her un6and how he was doing…. and if he was looking for her. After a few laps she stopped. Sweat dripping down her face, for what she did she had to stay in shape. Sitting in the grass she let the breeze cool her as she drank some water.
(anyone else getting Umbrella Acadamy vibes)
Wila straightened, trying to get the image of Harrows ring and blood out of her mind "why'd you do it?" She asked instead of answering his question
(I am! I'm just curious, but what's Harrow and Aza's relationship?)
Beaux decided that she would finally go inside and practice. Everyone was probably already in there. Beaux had amazing balance and flexibility. Even though she hated the circus, she couldn't help but love to do tricks for the crowd. Slamming the door open she walked into the gym. The coolness from the air conditioner made her cold, but after awhile she got used to it.
Tam slowly got up and calmly faced Wila. "What do you mean?"
(I am! I'm just curious, but what's Harrow and Aza's relationship?)
(What do you mean? They're not related or anything, but I do have a plot in mind if that's what you're asking)
(Yeah I was asking about a plot. I know they're not related. They just seem to have a past or something. Well that's what it seems like to me.)
(You'll see… :)
"why after he hurt her and not before?" She asked, accusation rising in her tone "and why stop me if you were going to do the same?" She narrowed her eyes at Tam
Tam squared his shoulders and stared Wila down, biting back his irritation. "Because I've been here the longest and I understand how to survive in this place. You think you know better than me, fine, go and get yourself starved," he shot back flatly. "But I've seen Harrow at his worst and it's easy, very easy, to get him there." He took a step forward and was suddenly facing Wila down. This time, the anger was audible in his voice. "I'm sorry if my methods of straight up survival don't sit well with you. But they've gotten me this far."
He walked past Wila and, shaking off the incident, headed to training.
She stared up at him, determination and anger in her eyes "if you're methods work so well, how come you wait until he hurts us to do sonething? How come you wait until harrow gets to the point of damage to do something?" She shook her head as Tam walked off "all talk no action." She muttered, jumping off the table and heading to her normal training area.
Beaux realized no one was in the training room yet, and she wanted to enjoy the silence for a bit. She did basic stretches before doing anything huge. Her mind wandered. First it back to when her and her uncle saw the circus for the first time, then getting kidnapped. It was strange that her uncle never found her, she liked to believe that they erased his memory of her. It was easier to believe than him just forgetting about her or abandoning her. Then this morning when Harrow slapped her. It wasn't the first time and she was mentally prepared for more. There was no way he was going to break her.
Tam got to the training room a few minutes later, only to see Beaux already there and stretching. Without a word and needing to let some anger go after his conversation with Wila, he went straight for punching bags and started hitting them, again and again. Right hook. Jab. Right hook. Uppercut. The names ran through his head, dispelling all other thoughts.
"Tam?" Beaux went into a hand stand and walked over to him. "Are you alright? You seem a bit, um, tense." And his face said it all. He was angry, she just wanted to know why?
He stopped and let out a long breath. Without looking at her, he asked, "How long have you been here, Beaux?" he asked ruggedly.
"Hm, do say about an hour." She let her legs fall so she was in a back bend. "It's quite relaxing training by yourself. I might start waking up earlier to do so." She left up the top half of her body so she was standing. Next to her was her water bottle, as she reached for it she sat on a bench and watched as Tam hit the bag.
"No," Tam managed between punches. "How long have you been in the Circus?" He stopped punching, leaning his head against the bag to catch his breath.
She copied his motion and tilted her head. "Since I was eleven, so about five years now. And I hate every minute of it." She smiled sarcastically. Anyone who liked this was crazy. Harrow is an abusive and manipulative person. He was crazy, and she had a few scars to prove it. "Why do you ask?"
"This is my tenth year here," he admitted quietly, avoiding her gaze. "I've never tried to escape because I know what Harrow is capable of and the only reason I've never tried to escape is because I can't go through a repeat of those first few years. Aza is going to ruin that, Beaux. I don't know how to stop her," he muttered nervously, swaying back and forth with the bag.
"Is she planning something?" Her eye brows raised with curiosity. If there was something she could do to help get out of here, she would do it. "How is she going to ruin it?" Beaux had never really been all that close to anyone here, but she have had a few conversations with Tam. If no one was willing to talk to her, why should she be the only one to put in effort?
Tam went still and looked over at Beaux. "You're tempted," he observed.
Throwing her hands up, she stood. "Of course I am. Who wouldn't be? That doesn't mean I'm going to do anything." She walked closer to him and looked him straight in the eyes. "She not going to murder anyone, right?" Murderer was not on Beaux's bucket list.
Tam held Beaux's stare. "I don't know," he admitted. "I don't know if she has a plan. All I know is that Harrow can crush her no matter how prepared she is."
(I've got to go to sleep now actually but see you guys tomorrow!)
(see you tomorrow!)
Wila went straight to a building off of the training center where they held the equipment for performances and the Aireal performer's silks. She hooked up a white silk curtain to a rope the hoisted it up to the ceiling. Turning on some dark melodic music, she hauled herself up and hang upside-down for a few minutes, clearing her mind.
"Theres always someone stronger than someone else. There's bound to be some who will challenge him, and someone he won't be able to beat or at least put up a challenge." Beaux smiled, a genuine smile. "I'm just waiting for that time. Then we all can be free."
Tam didn't look at her, saying nothing. He thought about answering before turning away from her and heading for the ladders to practice tightrope.
Aza began singing quietly, not lonely in the slightest.
