Skye gave Hinata a friendly smile before going back to his food.

Hinata ducked under the counter and magicked herself a burger as well. She stood up again.

Skyer smiled at her again, but didn't say anything.

Hinata took a bite of her burger. She chewed thoughtfully, then swallowed.
"So, how did you find yourself here?"

"No real reason." said Skye, "I mostly looking for a quiet spot to eat, but I also felt the surge of that guy's power, so…" he shrugged, "Figured I'd check it out for the sake of adventure and not being bored.

"I see." Hinata sat on the counter. If you looked closely, you could see she wasn't really sitting on, but hovering above the counter.

"That and you're a very interesting cook." said Skye, noting the fact that she was using magic.

"Oh, and what do you mean by that?" She had a suspicion that Skye knew about her magic using.

"I can sense energy flow. And I know you're using magic." he said.

Hinata's suspicions were confirmed.
She shrugged.
"I only cook like this when it's after hours."

Skye nodded, "I figured as much, either way it's still good." he said.

"Thanks. I take pride in the quality of my food." Hinata yawned.

Skye smiled, "You're very welcome."

Cooking magic, huh… "So how does that work?" Mika asked as she set the tarts on a table.

Skye stayed quiet, but waited for the cook's answer.

"I visualize the food, see the elements and molecules needed to make it, and construct the food using my powers and the elements around me." Hinata shrugged.
"Simple science mixed with some magic."

Skye smiled, "Figured." he said.

Hinata took another bite of her burger. Juice dripped down her chin, which she wiped off with her sleeve.

Skye went back to savouring his, munching quietly.

Hinata pulled her legs up, now visibly hovering.
"I'm just glad everyone else is on holiday. They would have probably flipped out."

"I don't know about them, but I would've left peacefully." Said Skye.

"Eh, I probably would have stopped them. Besides, I don't see the harm in serving a few latecomers." Hinata finished off her burger, wiping her greasy fingers on a napkin.
"Plus, I'm enjoying the company."

"That's good to hear" said Skye, smiling again.

Hinata looked at her watch.
"Crap. It's nearly midnight."

Skye finished off his burger. "Is it really that late?" He asked, not really looking sleepy or tired.

"Yeah. You can stay if you want, but this place can get… dangerous after midnight."

"Danger isn't somethjng I'm afraid of" said Skye confidently, though his stance tensed a little.

Hinata gave a smirk.
"If you say so. Still, I would suggest getting out of the dining area." Hinata turned to walk to the back.

Skye rolled his eyes, subtly putting up an invisible shield. "I can take care of myself" he said.
