William tightened his hold on her, sighing in content. He closed his eyes, running his fingers through her hair as she sang to him. How long had it been since she did so? Four years. Four, miserable years.

Amber continued the song, singing softly to the man she loved. Yes, it was pretty cheesy to sing the song she'd chosen, but still… She loved it.
When she was done, William brought his lips down on hers, kissed her briefly and then pulled back.
“Amazing as always,” he murmured. “Just got a little too mesmerizing.”
“Mesmerizing? How so?” Amber asked softly, opening eyes she hadn’t realized were even closed.
“Like a siren’s,” William replied. “Are you sure you aren’t a reincarnation?”
Amber chuckled and kissed him softly on the lips. “Positive. That would be cool, though. But a mermaid would be cooler.”
“A mermaid with a siren’s voice,” William furrowed his eyebrows, pulling her on top of him. “Perfect combination.”
Amber hummed her agreement and pressed another kiss to both his cheeks. “What have you been doing… since we last saw each other?” she asked softly.
“I started going into therapy the month we broke up. The basketball team was devastated when I told them the news, though. Of our break up, I mean,” William started, rubbing her cheek gently. “Anyway, Jordan and Casper graduated the year after that, so I became Captain. We won the Winter Cup on my second year of being Captain, too, actually,” he paused, remembering how his teammates had cried when they did. He chuckled, “That same year, my sessions were complete. My therapist said I was good to go. That was when I started searching for you, but I never could. And then I graduated and started my internship at Cyber Incorporation. And then I found you again. Now here we are.”
"Wait, you became captain? And you won the Winter Cup? Will, that's great! I'm so glad you did," Amber said, pressing another kiss to his lips. "And I'm so glad you found me, too."
“Trust me, the guys were less than thrilled about my being captain. I worked them to the bone,” he chuckled, kissing her back briefly. “But they can’t deny that it was one of the reasons we won. Anyway, this proves we’re meant to be.”
Amber laughed softly and snuggled into him further. "How are they, anyway? Have you had any contact with them? And of course we're meant to be. We always have been."
"They're idiots as usual," William shrugged, pulling her close. "I do keep in contact with them. We've got a group chat, which I keep muted. And I could never agree with you more."
Amber chuckled softly. “When do you want to tell them we’re back together?” she wondered softly, moving herself back to his side and snuggling into him that way.
"Maybe we could snap a picture together and send it to the group," William shrugged. "And then see the explosives of messages coming in afterward."
Amber giggled, nodding her agreement. “Yes. Yes, let’s do it. Think they’ll recognize me with my new hair, though?”
“You should also cover half your face with your hair,” William smirked. “And I can kiss you on the side of your head. See if they think I’ve got a new girlfriend or if they can recognize you.”
“Deal,” Amber agreed with a chuckle, shaking her hair into her face and turning slightly.
William raised his phone high enough to take a picture, set up a timer and buried his face in her hair, pressing a kiss to the side of her head as his other arm held her close.
He snapped the picture and then sent it to the group.
"Now let's wait and see…"
Amber grinned and curled up into him again. “How many of them do you think will recognize me? Any of them that wouldn’t? Like, were there any new guys on your team?”
William removed her hair from her face and kissed her on the forehead.
"One thing for sure, Jude would yell profanities at me, thinking I'm 'cheating on you,'" he chuckled. "He's the one I'm sure wouldn't realize it's you. Parker, Holden, Drew, and Casper would most probably realize it's you but won't say anything. Jordan would. And yeah, there were new guys on my team. Lots of them."
Amber hummed softly, leaning into his touch when he kissed her forehead. “This is going to be hilarious, I can already tell. How long do you think it’ll take for you to start getting notifications?”
"Wait, I still have it muted," William took out his phone again only to find thirty unread messages. "Would you look at that…"
TWEEDLE DUM (Jude): Whoa whoa whoa
TWEEDLE DUM: what in the world
TWEEDLE DUM: what r u doing with that girl
PARKER: oooh~ a blonde this time?
DREW: Are you sure this was meant to go here?
PARKER: I'm sure he's just trying to get us jealous.
PARKER: But sucks to you I have a girlfriend, too.
TWEEDLE DUM: WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THIS?
TWEEDLE DUM: I LIKED AMBER
William stopped reading at that, chuckling to himself.
"Well, what do you want to say to that, Blue?"
(lmaoo)
(Lol.)
Amber was reading the messages, her eyes twinkling with laughter as she grinned at them. Casting a glance at William, she smirked. “Shall we send them a video? Or video chat them?”
“We can video call then,” William shrugged as he opened a different chat, one where the players who knew Amber were in. “Over here.”
There was a notification bubble on top of the screen.
LEE: Wait does this mean we can actually talk about Amber without Flower Boy sulking and glaring at us?
Amber chuckled and moved her hair over her shoulder. Well… What hair would love over there, anyway. It was just barely too short to fall over her shoulders like that.
“Go on, then. Call them,” she said with a light laugh. “I can’t wait to see what they say.”
“All right,” William chuckled before he tapped on the video call option, turning the camera away from Amber as he did so. Almost immediately, Jude, Holden, Drew and Parker answered the call. The others must be busy, William mused to himself.
“Okay, now tell me what’s going on,” Jude demanded without bothering to greet them. “Why is there a random girl in your bed? Why must you cheat on Amber? How could you? You told us you would get her back!”
William snorted, rolling his eyes.
“Actually, I happen to love this random girl very much,” he replied drily. “And she wishes to talk to you. Hence why I called.”
“Oh, she does, does she?” Parker quirked a knowing eyebrow. “Then let us talk to her.”
Amber laughed and leaned into view of the boys, grinning as she rested against his back. “Hey, guys. Long time no see. I take it you like my hair?”
Everyone fell silent as Amber came into view. Jude’s mouth opened and closed like a fish, Drew looked surprisingly surprised, Holden had a satisfied look on his features while Parker offered a wink.
“Oh, there she is~” he sang. “You guys are so dumb, really.”
“Amber?” Jude’s eyes widened. “Oh my God. I literally—oh God. You heard what I said to William?”
“That’s a pleasant surprise,” Drew hummed and Holden nodded in his agreement. “We’re really glad you guys are back together.”
