"If you've got an idea then try it!" said Arthur, "Worst case scenario I pass out for a few days and catch up on sleep."
"If you've got an idea then try it!" said Arthur, "Worst case scenario I pass out for a few days and catch up on sleep."
"How would we explain that?" Septima asked, her expression turning grave, "That's a pretty bad worst case scenario, given our situation. Would Skye have to return, and we'd have to hide you or something? It seems risky. Besides, like I said, I'd probably need to do a little research on it, and they don't exactly have any books of that sort here, considering that these people are trying to demonize us."
Arthur shrugged, "Skye would probably come back, stow me somewhere in the city, and then continue the ruse with you for awhile. I know for a fact you won't accidentally kill me, I've got insurence for that as long as I have warning."
Septima tilted her head. "O-okay… I won't be able to do anything until I have some reading material, unless you want me to experiment, which we really probably shouldn't do."
Arthur sighed, "Normally I'd go for experimentation, but not here."he said, "Either way you should sleep."
"I'll… try," Septima said, "I'll be up bright and early, too."
She stepped out of the doorway slowly.
Arthur nodded, "Good. I'll see you in the morning." he said, yawning again.
Septima laid back in bed for a little while before falling asleep again. She curled up, arms wrapped around her pillow, and drifted off.
(Skip to morning? Or maybe further, closer to more plot stuff? Also, what are our other boys up to?)
(I'm not sure what they're up to, I think we should go back to them for awhile and then skip back to the trio when we come up with more plot stuff. )
(Yeah, sounds good!)
(You wanna start back with the boys then? Maybe having skipped a few days?)
(Yes, that makes sense. I feel like we should have some ongoing plot back at the camp too, though. What might that be?)
Hmm… maybe they're moving back to the main base for the rally?
(Sure. So are they traveling a while to get to said base or something to join and make larger forces basically?)
Pretty much, i have a feeling Silver will have kept Aurelius close.
(Yeah, makes sense. Did you want to start?)
( I would prefer you did…)
(Okay, give me a few minutes.)
(Also Imma come back in the morning cause I need sleep…)
Aurelius walked ahead after some of the rebels. He was nearly in the rear of the group, despite having started out much closer to the front. He had been feeling better, but this was the most physical exertion he'd had to put forth in a while. No one really seemed to notice that he was struggling to keep pace, but they couldn't have been far at this point, so he figured he'd keep quiet until he was in danger of being left behind. Perhaps not even then.
Silver dropped back behind the others, looking for Aurelius. Spotting him he went over, "You alright mate?" he asked, deciding not to mention that he was falling behind.
"Tired," he replied, panting just a little, "which seems about right. I've been doing a lot better, but my endurance isn't quite back yet. It's been a long journey."
Aurelius still managed to smile a little at Silver.
Silver shifted to Wolf form. "You may as well ride and save your strength… we don't need you passing out" he said, padding close to the other.
"O-oh… Thank you," Aurelius said, stopping and getting on Silver's back.
"That'll help a lot."
Silver chuckled, picking up the pace a little. "No worries" he said, "Normally I'd only offer encouragement, but you're a different case."
"Yeah, I've felt a lot… different, ever since being captured. I don't know how much I can hold my own, even now. It's getting better. I've been training some. They've given me slightly more labor-intensive jobs. But something's still not quite right."
Silver frowned, "Well, we can talk more about that later once we stop for the night." he said, "For now it doesn't seem to be something urgent, so it can wait a few more hours."
"No, of course not," Aurelius agreed, "I just want to get there at the moment so I can rest up some more."
Silver nodded in agreement, catching up with the other wolves, Alex and his sister and Sirus.
Aurelius looked around where the other half-wolves were, all of them keeping up with the massive group of travelers.
"Does anyone know where we are? I've never traveled through this area before."
