"Yeah, how often does it take you minutes to get a blanket off of someone?" He grinned back.
"Yeah, how often does it take you minutes to get a blanket off of someone?" He grinned back.
"Did you want me to untangle it faster?" She asked, a small grin appearing on her face even as she tried to hide it.
They walked into the cafeteria, and Milo decided now was a good time to put the shirt back on. "Oh, so you were just enjoying watching my fight for my life?"
She laughed and shrugged, "You'll never know, maybe I enjoyed watching you fight a blanket, maybe I tried to untangle it as fast as I could." She walked to one of the tables and sat down, trying to decide what she should try this time.
"Hm, I wonder what I can have." He proceeded to rapidly tap every single button on the panel. He only got a cup of coffee, two small waffles, and a cookie.
"You want anything else?" She asked, having stood up and walked to the panel to get her own food. Deciding on a plate of eggs and bacon and an orange juice.
He shook his head, picking up the tray. "No, this looks good."
Anneliese nodded and took her tray back to the table, immediately digging into the food with a small smile.
Suddenly, the ship pitched to the left wildly, sending Milo shoulder-first to the floor and skidding into a wall.
"Shit!" She yelped, her plate of food sliding away from her. A very confused look appeared on her face she she grabbed onto the table as tight as she could, "What the fuck was that!" She looked to Moli and saw him on the floor, "You ok dude?"
He grunted, sitting up and rubbing the top of his head. "Ow."
She stood up as best she could and walked to him carefully, "What was that?" She asked, looking around and frowning at her now ruined food, "So much for eating right now."
"I'm…not sure. Seems like somethin' hit the ship." He continued to rub his head, wincing.
"But what?" She said more to herself than to him. She offered him a hand and was already looking towards the door, wondering if she went to where the basketball court was if she could see whatever they had hit.
"Space trash? I don't know." he accepted the hand and pulled himself to his feet.
She nodded and started to the door, leaving her food on the floor, "I'm going to go find out what it was, you want to come with?"
"That's a bad idea. If it punctured the hull, you're gonna be sucked into empty space in the blink of an eye." He grabbed her wrist before she could walk too far.
She sighed and looked down at his hand on her wrist, willing her face not to heat up from the contact, "I'll be fine basketball boy, I won't get sucked into space."
"But you don't know that. For all we know, the entire glass wall in the basketball court's busted and you'll get sucked out the moment you walk out into the hall."
She frowned and tried to tug her arm away, "That's a risk I'll have to deal with then, isn't it? And why do you care so much anyway?" She asked.
"I'm not about to be left alone for te rest of my life because you couldn't turn off you Curious George button," he said firmly.
"My Curious George button?" She laughed and shook her head, "That brings back some old memories." A more serious look appeared on her face after a moment, "You wouldn't be alone, Mark the Fuckbot would be here to keep you company."
"For the love of God, if you die I'm hanging myself. After i rearrange Mark's processors with a large hammer." He was only half-joking.
She raised an eyebrow, "You would hang yourself? Just because I'm gone?" She smiled lightly, "The part about Mark sounds fun though."
(Bump)
"No, I'd hang myself because of Mark," he said, releasing his hold of her arm.
"I'm still going to go see what it is, you can either come with or you can stay here." She glanced at him and shrugged, "Your choice, but please, If I die, don't hurt yourself in any way."
"Why do you need to go out there?" he asked. "It's beyond unnecessary, bordering on suicidal."
Anneliese looked out the window, "Because I need to see what hit the ship. And it hit the ship over there. If it did damage then everyone on here is in trouble, and one person dying to save every other passenger makes more sense than everyone dying."
"No body's in danger. Those chryopods can survive in a vacuum. Said so in the manual." It was a complete lie, but it sounded correct.
