"How about I drive?" he suggested, rubbing his face with the non-bloody hand in frustration.
We need to go, for fucks sake.

“I don’t trust a stranger to drive my car.” Gregory sighed at Lorreth’s response.
“Just let him drive the dang car. He can’t be worse than you.” Lorreth rolled her eyes, but nodded, handing Baylee the keys.
“Please try your best not to dent it.”
"No promises." This was completely deadpan as he unlocked the doors with the keys. "Aright, everyone in, I guess."
Lorreth sat in the back, Gregory next to her, and Cliff slid into the seat next to the driver, buckling up. He was actually pretty tall for his age, though still probably should not be in the front. Lorreth and Gregory didn’t say anything.
No time to argue, he thought as he slid into the driver's seat just as red and blue lights were caught in the rearview.
"Fuck!" He jammed the key into the ignition and started the engine, hauling ass out of the parking lot as soon as it was able.
Cliff seemed completely unbothered by the turn of events, and just sat staring out the window. Lorreth and Gregory were talking to each other quietly so that Cliff wouldn’t hear.
Good God, everyone's batshit, he thought, cutting a hard right turn and flooring it down the empty highway.
Lorreth made sure Baylee wasn’t watching, and then pecked Gregory’s lips quickly, before sitting back and looking out the window.
He was too busy swerving out of the way of a spike strip, but he would've bristled at the sight if he woul've seen it.
“Who wants to play a game?” Cliff suddenly said, excitement in his voice.
“What game do you want to play now, Cliff?” Lorreth said. She tried to sound annoyed, but Cliff was too adorable when he was excited to be mad at.
“Truth or dare!” Gregory smiled indulgently. Lorreth and Gregory may not have been the biggest fans of each other, but they both evidently loved Cliff fiercely.
“I’ll go first. Baylee, Truth or dare?”
"Now is not the time, bud!" He jerked the wheel to the right, roaring out of an exit and tearing down a backroad, turning around for half a second to see if the police followed him. He let out an audible sigh when the police lights had disappeared and turned back around, both hands on the wheel.
"Alright, what did you say, Cliff?"
Cliff seemed unbothered by everything around him.
“Truth or dare? Pick one!”
No hesitation, he said, "Dare," as he slowed his speed down to an acceptable mph.
Cliff thought for a minute.
“I dare you to…” Cliff looked back at Lorreth and Gregory for inspiration. Lorreth grinned and leaned over, whispering something into Cliff’s ear. Cliff seemed confused, but went along with it.
“I dare you to kiss Lorreth.” Lorreth grinned, and Gregory facepalmed discreetly.
"Like, right now?" he asked, glancing over at Cliff before watching the rode once again.
“You should probably stop beforehand,” Cliff responded, completely chill about it. He seems to be very chill and unconcerned with the entire situation, which makes you wonder what kind of stuff he’s seen hanging around Lorreth.
He sighed, slowing down even father and pulling off onto the shoulder.
"Alright, but this is a very stupid reason to stop with the police on our ass."
“On the contrary, I think it’s a very good reason,” replied Lorreth, only half-joking.
“In case you can’t tell, she’s a bit overly obsessed with things like this,” sighed Gregory. Lorreth got out of the car, stretching out her arms.
Baylee got out too, keeping his door open. This is absolutely ridiculous, he thought to himself as he walke around to her side of the car.
Lorreth grabbed Baylee and smashed her lips to his, going immediately into a very sensual kiss. Her hands were pressed into the back of his head, stopping him from pulling away, and she moaned with pleasure. Gregory put a hand over Cliff’s eyes.
Okay, well…damn. He was caught completely off guard by how aggressive she went in for the kiss, but he's be lying if he said he didn't like it. His hands slowly reached out to lightly hold her by her sides and he began to press into the kiss, surprising himself with how much he enjoyed it.
Lorreth was practically in heaven right now. She hadn’t had a decent kiss in ages, and honestly, Baylee was a pretty good kisser. She ran her hands through his hair, thoroughly enjoying herself.
Suddenly, the sound of tires tearing up gravel and red and blue lights forced Baylee to tear away from the woman, turning to look at the rapidly approaching cop cars.
"Alright," he grunted, "I'm tired of this shit."
Once again his body pulled the phone-vibrating thing, but this time you could actually see him sprint straight into the leading cop car, his shoulder lowered like a linebacker ready to level a quarterback in a football game. As soon as him and the vehicle collided, the car went flying into the air, traveling in a graceful arc before slamming top first into the ground about 100 meters away. Baylee had his hands on his knees, breathing heavily as he watched the car fly away. The high usage of magic was obviously taking its toll on his body.
Lorreth was put slightly off guard as Baylee tore away from her, and put a steadying hand on the car. She watched Baylee throw the car, and then immediately slipped into the car with Cliff and Gregory, leaving Baylee to do his thing.
The two other squad cars began rapidly reversing away from Baylee, scared shitless by the ridiculous display of power. He watched them drive away for a few moments before making his way back to the car.
"Sorry about that," he mumbled as he slipped into the driver's seat again.
“Don’t apologize. I don’t know how much longer I could’ve taken of you two kissing. Lorreth, you get way too excited about that stuff,” Gregory said. Lorreth rolled her eyes, still a little giddy from Baylee’s kiss. Cliff giggled quietly.
He snorted, kicking the car into gear and starting to drive again.
"Can't lie, I liked it," he admitted, glancing over at Lorreth from the rearview mirror.
Lorreth winked at Baylee, grinning.
“Of course you liked it. Whatever I think about Lorreth, I have to admit, she is hot,” Gregory responded nonchalantly.
He continued to drive in silence, trying to ignore the growing ball of pain blossoming in his chest like a rose from hell.
Cliff continued the game of truth or dare.
“Baylee, your turn to ask someone truth or dare,” he said.
