“Music artist,” William clarified. “I know you like Lindsey and Evanescence, for two.”

Amber hummed in thought, twisting to look up at the ceiling. “I also like Taylor Swift… But only, like, her earlier years. And you can’t tell anyone I said that.”

“Why not?” William furrowed his eyebrows. “Why can’t anyone else be told that?”

“What reputation?” William teased, planting a kiss on her neck.

William held her closely until her cheek was pressed against his chest. “All, right. I’ll take your word for it.”

William took a deep breath, a hand still running through her hair. “So. What’s my question?”

Deleted user

“Purple,” William twirled a piece of hair around his finger. “But I’ve started to like blue, due to the color of your eyes.”

Deleted user

“You’ve told me,” William chuckled, pressing his lips to her forehead. “Blue. Like my nickname for you.”

Deleted user

“Hm… your favorite cartoon growing up?” William tried, tightening his own arms around her.

Deleted user

“That was a good show,” William chuckled. “I love how you answered it immediately.”

William snorted.

“I gave a hint once,” his eyes crinkled. “Popeye The Sailor Man. I was crazy for that show. My parents actually got me a cake with Popeye on it for my fourth birthday.”

“You did? Geez, I’m oblivious sometimes,” Amber laughed a little. “It’s funny hat you liked that show. I’ve never actually seen it before. Did you ever want to eat… What was it? Spinach? Because of the show?”

Deleted user

“How is it funny?” William rubbed a thumb over her cheek. “And you haven’t? Wow. That’s surprising. And no, the show never inspired me to eat spinach. I hated it.”

Deleted user

“It was a fun cartoon,” William pulled her closer as he shifted. “I suppose it’s your turn now?”

Deleted user

William sighed, now playing with her hair with both hands.

“Four,” he answered. “I went out with four.”

Deleted user

“I went out with the first girl when I was in ninth grade,” William answered softly. “My tenth year, I was single. The other three were during my eleventh and twelfth year. Actually, you’ve seen my third before.”

Deleted user

“The girl I dumped water over at the party,” William elaborated. “That one.”
