She glanced around for anything that would do damage. She spied an armor stand sword and ran towards it, shifting and ripping it from it's owners metallic hands. Stalking of to the creature, she jabbed the sword down deep into it's neck and bit down with her teeth once she transformed back
The creature cried out, throwing its head back as it burst into nothing, leaving only a black stain. Drake was panting, a deep gash in his thigh and his shoulder.
She panted hard and walked over to Drake, nudging him gently. She started to lick the blood from his shoulder
Drake smiled slightly, nuzzling her a little, “I’m Fine, Val, I promise.”
She growled lightly as if saying I don't believe you. And continued to lick his wound until she felt it was clean enough
Drake rolled his eyes, knowing she was being too over protective but let her do it.
She shifted, getting up to find bandages "do not move…" she instructed. She walked off to find a med kit and Clarise to help
Again, he rolled his eyes but did not move as she said. Instead, he thought over everything that thing had said.
The two returned shortly, along with a med kit
"Does it hurt," Val asked as Ckatise handed her gauze "can you move your arm any way?" She continued her questions as her and Clarise wrapped up the wound
"Val do you have any wounds?" Clarise asked
"Mine can be addressed later." She muttered, focusing on Drake's shoulder
Drake rolled his eyes for the third time, sighing loudly, “Your injuries are just as important Val.”
"and I'll get to them later. And stop rolling your eyes," she chastised teasingly "there, that should be good." She stood and went to put the med kit away when she felt something wet at her side "damn…" He raised her arm to find out that her side had a large gash
Drake growled a little, “You need to treat that. Now.” He said, scanning the wound thrice over.
She winced as sharp pain courses through her side as she tried to touch it "Clarise, could you please assist me with the wound."
The girl nodded and helped her over to Vals room
"Drake, will you be alright?" She asked I've her shoulder
Drake nodded, standing slowly, “Yeah, I’ll be fine. I’ll be outside in the gardens if you want me.”
She nodded "alright," she walked away with Clarise to her chambers. A few minutes later, Val was patched up "thank you.". Val said
Clarise nodded "of course. Get some sleep, I'll check on you in the morning."
Drake spent the rest of the day outside, thinking, cursing and thinking. He knew what that thing said was true, about his kingdom and he fell into an uneasy sleep with the thought on his mind as he sat under a large oak tree.
Like most nights, Val woke in a cold sweats. She sighed and got out of bed, checking on her wound before deeming it fine. She walked to green house and switched on the lights, illuminating herself and the place in flourecent colors from the stained glass above.
Drake woke from his sleep as soon as the lights turned on, being able to see them from where he was sleeping, but only just. He stood slowly, letting a ring of blue flame circle his palm to light his path as he walked to the greenhouse.
She walked through the jungle of plants she herself had grown over the few years. Val had started off with flowers from around the area which then had grown into a sort of collection. She wouldn't even let the other Gardner's touch them or manipulate them like they did the gardens outside. She touched the leaves with her fingertips as she walked by
Drake was in awe at his surroundings. The fire tinting the plants blue as he walked past.
She reached one of her favorite sections of the greenhouse. It was full of color and mystery. Here Val had planted a multitude of moon species, many needed the moon's lights to grow and flourish. She sat on the ground among the plants and made sure each one was in the right position to grow the best
Drake stood behind a large bush, and with his power, made the flowers around Val glow. Just the outline of them all in the same bright blue his flame always was, but the greenhouse was more of a bluehouse now.
Val gasped in surprise and glanced around "who's there?" She called. She glanced back down at the plants around her. Touching one, the blue stuck to her fingers for a few seconds, then disappeared. "Absolutely beautiful…." She muttered
Drake couldn’t help but smile, making the flame dance around Val before returning to the flowers. He didn’t reveal himself yet, though.
She turned in a full circle as the flames danced around her, completely entranced by their beauty and mystery "ok….fire breathing moon plants….that's new." She said aloud with a light laugh
Drake suddenly flicked his fingers and the fire was gone, sizzling out into nothing. His smile softened a little.
Her eyes widened in facination. She touched the flowers again to see if the fire would reappear but nothing happened. She glanced around once more to see if she could spot someone. Seeing no movement in the green house, she sighed and sat down "I'm going insane! Great, all the kingdom needs now is a crazy queen." She shook her head and sighed
Drake couldn't help but snort and then laugh at that. A real laugh. He put a hand over his mouth to cover the sound but had no doubt Val had heard him now.
"find that amusing my secretive friend, don't you?" She called out, glancing around "so I'm guessing you are the one performing magic in my green house. Bold move." She breathed a laugh when she heard no response back "fantastic, now I'm talking to them."
Again, he was sent into a fit of giggles and chuckles, still staying in the shadows. His laughs started to turn more dragon like. When he spoke, it wasn't really him but his dragon so he didn't sound like himself, "You should… you shoulda seen your face!"
