Right as the guy started to stand up, Mika found himself making his way over to the table, an apologetic look on his face. "Hey babe, sorry I'm so late, traffic was crazy," he said, sitting down across from him. He made his voice loud enough so the people around them could hear. He then leaned closer and whispered, "My name's Mika, just go with it. Whoever stood you up is a total dick."
Jeremiah glanced at the guy, looking very confused. But he sat down anyway, because why not, it's not like he had anything to lose. Unless my date comes over right now…Eh, whatever. This guy looks better than my actual date. "It's fine."
